I've eaten at la tremblade a few times over the years. This was my first visit to Les Naufrageurs and this is by far my favourite!A lovely building situated in the picturesque la tremblade. The eclade was perfection. The staff clearly took pride in their work and were very attentive. We ordered a menu enfant for my daughter and we were very impressed with the quality and taste! We had been walking up and down for a while before choosing this restaurant but it was definitely the right decision!Highly recommended. I look forward to going again next year!Merci beaucoup!

A popular and lively eatery at Cayenne, so itâs best to book. We were in the main part of the restaurant, which was rather steamy. I started my meal with langoustines, which were plentiful but lacked texture. As a main course, I chose the lobster (from their tank according to the menu) in a Grand Marnier sauce. The sauce was delicious but the lobster was flabby. The dish was accompanied by greasy crinkle-cut potatoes. My dessert of lemon meringue pie was nothing to write home about. My husband, however, much enjoyed his enormous portion of curried mussels. Prices are modest. For large quantities of food at a very good price, and a good local atmosphere, this is the place to go.

I found the owner friendly and helpful with a little English if needed. You can buy courses individually or 2 courses for 22 euros. I had oysters to start and a huge salmon and crevette salad for mains. The oysters came with a simple viniger and onion dressing to add and La Tremble being an oyster port, they were fresh. Plenty salmon with salad and 3 large crevette. Had the house red which was very palatable. Happy to go again as plenty options to choose from.Merci a bientôt

This is one of my favourite restaurants in this area. I have been eating here for over 20 years. It has developed from a âshackâ by the harbour to a âsophisticatedâ and well established restaurant. You can eat inside o on the veranda by the creek. There is ample shade outside and you can watch the fishing boats as they go out or come back ladder with mussels. It is a very pleasant location and very popular. The food is very good - it is more varied than simple sea food which sets it apart from other eateries by the port. All the food is very fresh and well presented. The service is very good - helpful and attentive. It is worth the struggle if you do not speak French. It is a little more expensive than other nearby restaurants but you get what you pay for. I recommend it without hesitation.

We bought delicious oysters to take away from this place, but you can also eat them there. We went several times, the oysters were always very fresh so recommend. However, they do not sell you 13 oysters for the price of 12 as some other places do.

We ate here a lot during out stay in Marennes because we liked it so much. The setting is right on the salt marshes and the set-up is very simple. There are few choices on the menu, so unless you like mussels, oysters or other fruits de mer this won't be the place for you. (no steaks, no chicken etc)When you order your oysters they are picked fresh from the basin behind the restaurant, opened and then straight to your plate - you can't get any fresher. There is one lovely waitress who couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. She even put up with our slightly hesitant French with good grade. If you want a proper, fresh seafood experience come here.

We dined twice in this seaview restaurant during our 5-night stay in Marennes. The décor is clean and modern and the friendly staff give good service. We started our meals with wonderful selection of oysters. On the first evening I had fish of the day which was good but I found the accompanying baby veggies rather greasy. The second evening I had the grilled giant prawns (from La Tremblade) which were flamed with brandy. The prawns were excellent but I failed to detect the brandy. The dish was accompanied by French-style risotto (a bit like Ambrosia rice pudding). Their cheeses are absolutely excellent. Good wine in carafe.

We booked a table based on the comments we read on TripAdvisor. We were looking for a really authentic place were the locals go... Yes, we did find what we were looking for, even more than that.It is a bit surrealistic. Are you in a seafood warehouse/shop, a garage, a kitchen, ... ?!? It really doesn't matter, we had the best seafood ever! The best price/quality in the area... I really mean it!!!Superb!Try the oysters with Camembert, the seafood platter with crab, the pink 'crevettes' and 'les moules'. We'll be back one day.

Great little place, lovely to watch the owner blaze our mussels under the pine needles. Then to be served with hot embers still on them. The most amazing mussels and so smokey. The huge prawns/ gambas were to die for too and the 4 of us ate for under 70 euros including wine and ice creams. Great value, location and food. We'll be back next year.

Bar a huîtres ouvert du 1er mai au 15 septembre Ouvert de 10h a 21h15 Oyster bar open from May 1st to September 15th Open from 10h to 21h15
We found this spot many years ago and return if staying within driving distance, this year we were staying on the Ile d'Oleron and just had to make the pilgrimage. Despite not going for several years we were greeted like regulars with the traditional handshake. We sat at a table at the very tip of the Cayenne and I had the oysters and a crepe washed down with a pichet of local wine, a great light lunch in beautiful surroundings.
