So sad to see this place going down hill. i was a regular customer before and it was the best chippy around. however we went here tonight to give the new owners a try and one word diabolical. fish was greasy and tasteless, chips some cooked some greasy and slimy. so disappointed. The photo below is one of the better chipsSorry for you're disgraceful review as you can see we have many happy customers so you aren't welcome back anyway. We are having problems with potatoes at the moment as end of season waiting for new ones so we will agreed potatoes are not brilliant. We are just keeping to are same supplier to help a local farmer who supplies us, supporting him but he has been told. Absolutely disgusting review maybe you should of called and told us first. You're a disgrace.. How many businesses are ruined. Some people love posting millions of reviews on places they go. You're one of those. Move on go find somewhere else to attack. You see when you attack this business it isn't just us you effect its the staff who work with us from the local area if customers drop they lose there jobs, local suppliers get cut. All because of a couple black chips. Disgraceful. Shame on you.!!!

You will get excellent food and service every time. I live locally so give them a ring for my order and it is always ready for me as requested. The jumbo fish portions are rather large but always excellent fresh fish every time. The chip portions are also large and one portion is usually enough for the two of us. believe me we both like our food! Smaller fish portions are available as are pies, sausages and much more!! They also have special meal deals.

Greg & Lou have run the business since 2002 ,Fish and Chip takeaway and Restaurant.. also offering steaks, Ribs, Gammons, Jackets. Phone orders welcome. Large carpark and quick service!
Went here for Saturday night dinner with a mate, and sat in their spacious and really clean restaurant. Itâs obvious by the busy nature of the car park and takeaway booth itâs a popular place. And very quickly we saw why...Friendly service for starters, and really good value. I had Haddock & Chips, with my mate having a large Cod & Chips. Huge, nicely battered fish and unbelievably good chips. Plus the curry sauce was good too. First rate, and somewhere Iâll be venturing back to as a regular detour off the A30 when Iâm next in Cornwall. What a lovely review, thank you very much. We all try are best and work together as a team and glad this is all paying off with the lovely reviews we are getting..we all appreciate when we are acknowledged and it's nice to share the lovely feedback with our staff. Thanks again Lou

Soon as we walked in we were welcomed warmly. The restaurant has a nice luxurious feel & the atmosphere was really pleasant. We had 3 courses & every one delicious, not a single complaint about the food. Just the right quantities too, not too much to leave you stuffed, not too little to leave you hungry. Went into the lounge after, live band was great, jazz & acoustic music. Real nice end to the evening, cant wait to go back again. Elegant setting, staff that couldnt be any more helpful & upbeat, amazing food, bar manager who knows his drinks like a legend, amazing evening
