Visited on a friendâs recommendation and glad I did. Tried it out for breakfast with some friends who were very adventurous. Saturday morning and we sat upstairs with a nice ocean view. Decor was new and comfortable and the service very good. Only downside is traffic noise being right off the free Road. We ordered the fruit plate, huevos rancheros, machaca eggs, chicke chiliquilas with green chili, and eggs Benedict with fresh waffles standing in for English muffins. Our food took awhile to prepare but our food was fresh, hot and homemade. Beautiful presentation and everything was delicious. They didnât have syrup for the big fluffy Mexican pancakes but offwred honey instead. Quite good. Canât wait to go back for dinner!

Was told that this was one of the best Lobster restaurants by a local restaurant owner in Rosarito. So today, we decided to see what this place was all about. Located one street from the shoreline in Puerto Nuevo, on the corner of the southern street. We came for lunch midweek, so no problem parking. We ate upstairs the view was average as it was not direct beachfront. We were looking for crab and lobsters for lunch, we found it there. No better appetizer than their crab claws which cost only $10 US dollars and there must of been 25 over rice but seasoned and cracked with garlic butter. Never had better in my entire lifetime! Our entree was lobster and shrimp which was served with rice, beans and tortillas. $17.00 a plate, very good. Happy to have tried this place as earlier in the week tried a nicer location but there crab claws was the greatest find this entire trip in Rosarito ,

This is a very informal restaurant that specializes in lobster. They also offer octopus, fish and even steaks, but they famous in all the country for the lobster, presented in a very unrefined way: grilled and with beans. Lobsters from warm water have no claws, but antennae, so they have less flesh, but with such affordable prices, you can eat 2 or 3. The waiters are very diligent and offered us complimentary marlin (swordfish) tacos.

We had heard great things about Sandra's so we sought it out on a planned trip to Puerto Nuevo. Glad we did.The restaurant is plain and welcoming. There were lots of family groups and a few couples enjoying an early Friday evening dinner. No unhappy faces to be found -- everyone was having a great time and enjoying their dinner. The four of us ordered the smallest lobster available and it was more than we could eat. We may have had a communication issue and ended up ordering more than intended, at least that's one theory floating around. We also enjoyed clam chowder and a salad, both delicious and served appropriately. We were surprised when the check arrived. That's part of why we think we may have unintentionally ordered more than we intended, because the check was much more than we expected. The food was good and the service was spot on. We'll return to this restaurant and make so we're very specific about what we want so we don't end up with leftover lobster that can never really be as good as when it's hot from the kitchen.

If you are driving into Mexico, past the Tijuana boarder, as short trip down the coast and you'll come to Puerto Nuevo. Angel Del Mar is a restaurant at the end of the street and they serve excellent and fresh seafood. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, have a full bar, but parking is on a first come basis. Fun place, excellent food and service. Get the lobster.

If you're used to succulent, juicy Maine lobster, definitely ask for your lobster steamed. We ordered grilled (at the waiter's suggestion), and it was dry and almost tasteless. This is not a negative review. I just ordered wrong. I'd definitely go back just for the excellent service and the low price.

The restaurant has an amazing view and the lobster is delicious. It is perfect for a stop before getting to Ensenada. They only accept cash so be ready. It is a unique experienceâ¦

I've eaten at several restaurants in Puerto Nuevo, and in general, find the most popular ones (particularly the one with the best location) to be overpriced and under-quality. I tried this restaurant last night with a group of 10 based on the positive reviews of others. There's no view at all -- just be aware of that. But the food is good (i can only comment on the traditional fried lobster), and the prices are great.Dear MarkoestreicherFirst of All thank you for your time and review. For us in the Lobster House is very important to know the experience of our customers. We hope to see you soon and remember that "Mi Casa es su Casa" allways with the best product and quality service. Best Regards,

Colectivo Surf Tasting Room is an Ocean/Farm-to-Table Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. A Nano-Brewery with 15 beers on tap, Wine, Mezcal, Organic Coffee & Juice Bar serving local, organic and sustainable food and drinks.
Only upstairs, so handicapped beware. It has a great patio with music on most evenings. Average sushi and excruciatingly slow service. I lot of beers on tap as well as a house kombucha.Thank you for the review! I just wanted to let you know we have stairs in the front, and on the side of the building where the parking lot is we have a very wide, low slope ramp that accesses the patio and restaurant so that we can accommodate everyone. And most likely this review is from one visit, which would have been the night of Friday July 5th. Our chef's daughter was ill and we had the busiest night in the history of the business, so you are right, we had excruciatingly slow service for 2 hours, and for that I'm very sorry, we strive to make everyone happy and at the busiest hour have a wait for food of no longer than 30 minutes, and we failed to meet that goal, but it wasn't because of a lack of caring. We love our customers and we are really sorry you had to wait.I was there trying my best to help get out every order as quick as possible and I felt so bad we couldn't make everyone happy. I'm very sorry about the delay and next time you come in please talk to me, Noel, or our GM Juan, and we will give you excellent service and your food and drinks are on me. :)
