Reviews on Seafood food in Pozzuoli, Province of Naples, Italy. Just a few miles west of Naples (and easily reached by train), the ancient seaside city of Pozzuoli is probably best known for its bradyseism, a raising and lowering of the Earth’s surface due to underground volcanic activity. Many sites remain from Pozzuoli’s days as an important Roman port, including the Macellum or Temple of Serapis, which for many years was submerged under water. The Flavian Amphitheater (Italy’s third-largest) and the Cathedral of Rione Terra are other popular attractions.

The seafood at Luna Rossa is among the best that I have ever enjoyed in the Naples region. Service is impeccible in this casual restaurant. Luna Rossa can make an everyday meal a special event.

Ate dinner on a Wednesday evening. Arrived early (1900) and we had the place to ourselves; next customers did not arrive until 2115. The property is expansive and is a walled compound with plenty of parking. Though the street leading to the restaurant is quite narrow at times and requires careful driving. The staff was attentive, pleasant and spot-on. The premises are very well kept. We ate a LOT and it was all very good. Each course was plentiful, well prepared and the presentation was equally good. Much of the restaurant sits over excavated ruins, and the floor (in some areas) is glass so you can look below your feet at nearly 2,000 years of history. The owner is rightfully proud of his property and the work which undoubtedly went into creating it. In-between courses he was kind enough to give us a tour and history of the property and excavated ruins. A neat experience all the way around. Not one complaint about this restaurant. The prices were reasonable considering the number of courses, quantity of food, and the quality of the food. I would eat here again. Highly recommended!

This is my 3rd time here and this place has delicious food. The menu is one page in italian but the main dish is the pasta or rice dish of the day. You just have to go with the flow! They have an awesome staff and I will always be back for more dinner at 8pm. Thank you my dear, i hope to see again my best regards Gianni

LIFE, RESTAURANT - The flavor of the Mediterranean, the perfume of fresh products, all joined by the waves crashing on the reefs. POZZUOLI - A minimal design overlooking the seafront of Pozzuoli, ideal for a romantic dinner with sea view. CHEF - Tradition
Awesome experience! Fish and seafood dishes are prepared with extremely fresh ingredients and the chef is a real artist. My favorite restaurant in the area.If you love raw fish, start off with the crudo antipasto. If you prefer it cooked, the cotto is excellent as well. Exquisite!

We had the lunch special "eat all you can" menu .So much delicious food presented beautifully. As our Italian was minimal and the menu new to us we probably over ordered. There was a penalty for not finishing any dish ordered .This was stated in Italian on the menu which we didn't understand..The manager very kindly disregarded this charge. Maybe an English menu would be useful. We would love to return for dinner..

Situated in beautiful Pozzuoli, near the historic center and harbor. Lubrino Concetta's Putipù Bistrot is open every day for lunch and dinner. Near the Restaurant there is a Winery ''Putipù Soft Wine'' for aperitif and degustation.
We went to this restaurant because it was recommend to us by a local. On the door it clearly stated open at 1900. But after entering we were told they would open at 2000. Probably because of our summer attire and 16 month old daughter that didn't match the ambiance....

Of course the food needs to excel to prevent the ambiance from spiraling into campiness, and my recent meal kept up. Among pastas, the seafood medley most fascinated. Strands of zucchini mimicked the shape of the noodles. Tossed with tomatoes, mussels, garlic, basil, and a judicious trifecta of olive oil, it all came off as a modern, protein-spiked riff on pasta primavera. I dug a spoon into a bowl filled with fried artichokes and found a dreamy layer of braised artichokes, hazelnuts, and grapes underneath. Vegetable crudité, the other must-share starter alongside the cecina, veered more toward rustic than glamorous.

Don't get stuck in Pozzuoli Solfatara for different eats to the usual pizza/seafood/pasta offerings. Opposite the amphitheatre, on via Oberdan is Umami, a Japanese fusion restaurant. This beautiful restaurant serves a selection of delicious Japanese food, from snacks with aperitives to a full array of oriental goodies. Two of us pushed the boat out from entrees to main courses and a delicious bottle of chilled Pinot Grigio Ramato. A comprehensive wine list - we paid just over â¬100.

Complimenti a tutti!
