9pm and the city was closing down. This was the only place left to grab a meal except for a bar or two. We should have gone to the bar! We had a lovely young server who struggled but was so extremely pleasant we dont fault her for anything. The appetizers were quite good, but when the chowder came out one bowl had a large crack and chipped edge. Why would you serve in that? Who knows if a chip got in the food? I ordered the meatloaf-no mushroom sauce. It came with mushrooms so she took it back and it didnt come back out until everyone else was done eating. Then all that had been done was to scrape it off and mushrooms were still on the plate. The beans piled on top of mashed potatoes. The meat itself...full of rosemary? Not good. Everyone else was enjoying their meal until my brother-in-law found what looked like a sow beetle in his meal. They did take his meal off the bill, but...yeah. so Crab House gets a no from us.

The service was outstanding and exceptionally friendly. Great place for views to the north (Victoria Island) and to watch the setting sun. Good wine selection Food was outstanding (surf & turf w/ crab cakes and the halibut special). Parking on the street is free, there is a nearby lot, but there's a charge.

There on a quiet evening, so can't comment on service with a crowd. But excellent service for us. And before any music on tap.... Right across the street from the city pier, so nice view in some directions. Salmon was a bit below par. Cesar salad was good and, though individual portion, was large.

Downriggers is a waterfront restaurant that has been serving our community since 1990. We serve classic American food including steaks, seafood, salads, burgers and sandwiches. We have homemade, award winning, clam chowder and great fish and chips. With 2
Downriggers is one of the few restaurants open on Sunday nights. We had a nice table with water views. Our server was sweet as can be but when the French fries are the best thing on a table with fresh seafood, you can definitively say the food was average.

First class all round. Excellent food and staff made this a really enjoyable dinner. Went there lateish on a Friday night and was seated immediately. The lady who took me to the table and then my waitress were fantastic all night. I had the chicken parmigiana which was fantastic. Little pricey but actually worth it which is pretty rare.

We had tried to eat there on Sunday night, but it was packed. So we gave up. The restaurant has a great deal running for Sundays--so get a reservation way ahead if you want to check it out. The food the next night was extremely good. The salmon had the perfect crispy crust on the top and my friend had "the best chicken caesar" ever! It had so much chicken on it I had to help her eat it all. This is a great restaurant. Note: Since the restaurant is in the basement of the building, the wheel chair entrance is in the back of the restaurant not the front, if that is needed.Thank you so much for the kind review! So glad you enjoyed your meal. Sorry you couldn't get in Sunday, but reservations are always recommended. Thank for sharing the info on the wheelchair access as well.

Café Garden was established in Port Angeles 1990 and we have been developing and growing our menu ever since. Breakfast and lunch offer a very homey feel of freshness, creative quality and friendliness. At night, fresh local seafood and steak is the star.
This restaurant was recommended by our hotel so we thought weâd give it a try. We were not disappointed. They have fresh seafood specials and their chef does a fantastic job of putting everything together. We went there one night and went again the next morning for breakfast. All delicious. I would highly recommend.

Decor: Converted home with several booths, nice copper tables, warm lighting. Nice deck with tables for warmer weather.Menu: Covers beef, pork, seafood, chicken & pasta selections. Daily specials beyond regular menu.Service: Helpful, attentive.Quality: The smoked salmon appetizer was very good & shared by all at the table. The beef short ribs were excellent, the grilled halibut special with lemon risotto was good & the BBQ ribs were probably closer to average. Some of the dishes were a bit too spicy. The roasted vegetables were super fresh & well-prepared. Portions were satisfying. The Baileyâs mousse dessert was plenty chocolatey (and tasty), but it was difficult to detect the Baileyâs in it.Value: Just a wee bit on the expensive side.
