The decor that greets you as you enter the restaurant is somewhat cheesy Caribbean but that is what makes it fun! It is warm and colorful and complements the seafood menu. If you are a landlubber, you will have choices too. This casual restaurant offers every kind of seafood imaginable! The menu is big and substantial. Bring the family. Reasonable prices, decent food and service.

This restaurant has become a frequent choice for my husband and I after a trip to the movies. The food is fresh, delicious and nicely presented. Staff is attentive. And it's always fun to sit in one of the booths next to the fish tanks.

I have dined at Ocean Empire many times over the years and it continues to be my favorite restaurant overall. The quality and taste of the food has remained very consistent throughout. If you are knowledgeable about oriental cuisine, you can order dishes not already on their varied menu. Mr & Mrs Woo, the owners, are very hospitable and will check on the customers to make sure they are enjoying their meal. My favorites are the sub gum wonton soup and the ginger scallion flounder. Except for the soups and brown and white rice, all dishes are freshly made to order (of course if you like ready to eat microwaved food, you can always go to places like the Olive Garden :). It's not the prettiest restaurant around, but hey, you can't eat the atmosphere.
C&M is connected with Gilligan's it's the best seafood in Rockland County. They give you so much for your money that you can eat for two days. During the lent season you better place your order for dinner by lunch time on Fridays. Every catholic is Rockland is probably ordering. They are always busy. They also have great specials during the week.

A wonderful experience. I was looking for some reasonably priced, fish-fry-like, seafood. I saw noticed this place, which had great online reviews and is surrounded by parks..bear mountain, bowline point park and stony point state park. Anything with parks + nearby water is great since I love taking photos. I decided to drive up there from the Bronx, 50 minutes or so. I was not disappointed. Small town feel as it is part of a small strip mall. A few other shops and a Carvel and a Mavis Tire Shop on either side. Walked in and it was a comfortable. Not crowded at all for a nice Sunday afternoon. Staff was friendly and helpful. A few 4 seater tables as well as two booths which hold 4-6 people each. Prices were great given the usual high price of seafood. We had some shrimp, whiting, chicken wings, and mac and cheese. Everything was great though needed a bit of salt which is understandable. It makes sense for food restaurants to undersalt their food, since the customers can always add more salt, though if the food comes over salted to the customer, theres not much that can be done at that point. No harm done there. They had a small fridge to the right which had the usual can and bottles sodas but they also had home made kool-aid, similar to what you;d find in pizzerias. The Kool-Aid comes in one size, which is about the size of a quart, massive. The other side has lots of napkins, and condiments such as ketchup and tartar sauce. I did use the bathroom, which was a bit crammed, but more than adequate. It was clean, which I think is what matter. Plus I wasn't expecting anything fancy given then type of place. I asked about certain things like blue crabs, and was told they go for about $2 each but vary on when they comes in. So call ahead if you are going for that. An overall good experience. Minor issue is that the "shrimp" are all the same. There is shrimp and fish combo which was ordered as well as the "tiger shrimp", which in my experience are larger shrimp, but they were all the same. Not small in any way, but my experience were that tiger shrimp were quite large and I expected them to be bigger than the regular shrimp listed on the menu. I recommend this place to everyone. Definitely worth a try. If you are going there to taste the best _____ you ever had, you will be disappointed. This place offer good food at great prices with great service. Know that.
