Platanias (Greek: Πλατανιάς) is a village and municipality on the Greek island of Crete. It is located about 10 km (6.2 mi) west from the city of Chania and east of Kastelli-Kissamos, on Chania Bay. The seat of the municipality is the village Gerani. Platanias is a popular tourism village with a beach, several hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops. Not far from the coast is the island of Agioi Theodoroi.

With its blue and white tables and chairs in fact blue and white theme throughout this is an. Archetypal Greek establishment but specialising in seafood.Nice welcome for lunch we had fried shrimps and grilled sardines both excellent while looking over the harbour.Simple and satisfying for lunch all washed down with a localCretian beer mountain king.

Yesterday (2.8.2019) our family with four kids and two adults visit your restaurant. We got this restaurant recommended by our hotel, and where super happy with the service and fantastic food. Stopped for a quick bite with the family. Although the restaurant is just off the main road, there was no pushy service, instead the service was polite with just the right amount of attention. Garlic bread was delicious and we split the Crete pizza, which was superb! Stylish decor and a calm vibe.

After trying several restaurants in this village I can say this is the best fish tavern. Let them suggest you about the catch of the day and youâll have a good experience. The take the fish directly from the fish shop in front of the restaurant owned by the fisherman. As usual they offer you a dessert at the end of the dinner or fresh fruit and raki. The location is also nice and the service is very good.

Very pleasant, tranquil setting right opposite the sea. No noise from cars or other means of transport..A lot of attention was paid to the serving of the food and the plates which we received all looked very attractive. The service was prompt, efficient and very friendly. Considering the quality of the food the price was very reasonable. The complimentary cake was the tastiest that I have had anywhere. All in all a lovely place for both couples and families to eat. We will certainly be going again some time in the near future.

Absolutely fantastic cuisine! Delicious and fresh sea food. Tasty local wine, liquor and freshly cooked desserts! Moreover, you can buy here homemade local Greek liquor with rose, that is great for the presents!!! We definitely recommend this restaurant for a visit!

A nice and buzzing restaurant overlooking the water. The building is a beautiful townhouse converted to provide dining on all floors and lots of tables outside at ground floor. It is definitely worth booking in advance and requesting one of the tables on the first floor balcony which is private and overlooks the water, it makes a special occasion. Otherwise the roof provides a great outside dining experience.Overall the food was good and priced about right.

We previously visited 3 years ago for lunch and so decided it was time for a return to celebrate my wife's birthday. They pride themselves in providing Cretan dishes in a style that is different to the usual taverna fayre. My wife had lamb and mushroom risotto whilst I had smoked pork fillet and once again the food was excellent. We had a bottle of the house red.As a treat this worked well however our preference is for hearty taverna food at cheaper village prices.

Lovely location and view, good food and outstanding service. One of the most pleasant aspects of this establishment is the responsive staff. They do not hover over you, but are immediately present if needed. The atmosphere and music is relaxing.

We are back 15/8-22/8 last time was in june. Allways a plesure to wisit,love the fantastic breakfast with home made jam, fresh orange juice, home made coockies omelett, eggs, bacon, etc etc....
