I was blown away by the quality of both the welcome and the cooking the last time we visited Aux Pesked. Dinner recently was still a good experience, but not flawless. Everything started well with two exceptional opening dishes, showing the artistry of the chef in choosing and using vegetables, fruits and herbs. Beautiful and satisfying.A Thai style broth accompanying our langoustines was very good and the shellfish themselves well cooked, but did they marry? We werenât sure. John Dory was very slightly undercooked for our tastes and for me the coco beans accompanying it added nothing to the dish. The girolles, on the other hand, were a great match. Dessert was good. Wine - a Corsican White - very good. Madame was charming. Service was more mixed, with a longish wait between langoustines and John Dory. The room remains beautiful and the overall ambience good, with the presence of the chef a bonus. Sadly for the rest of the diners, a noisy English/Irish group of six felt we all needed to hear all of their conversations. No manners and not good ambassadors. No fault of the restaurant, of course. So a good experience, especially the starters, with clear evidence of real cooking skills throughout, but not quite a five star visit on this occasion.Je suis désolée que vous ayez été gênés pas la conversation de vos compatriotes...au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau.Sophie.

Not far from the sea easy to park the longest bar in saint brieuc 13 meters french traditionnal food home cooked with simplicity and kindness
We visited the restaurant for lunch on Monday the 14th, what a great lunch we had, we have found one of Saint Brieucs hiddenGems ! We will be back. Thank you Ann and Alan
Yet another gem hidden behind what looks like a very traditional French hotel in a provincial northern town! Opposite the huge church with plenty of parking you access it via the garden courtyard just off reception... truly back in time. But the food is a modern French take on some wonderful traditional recipes. Modules in a ginger and fennel sauce lifted the standard Brittany offering to a different level. The joue de boeuf for two served in classic iron casserole was just delicious and so tender... wasnât expecting star anis in this but I didnât know the recipe so was surprised but enjoyed it very much .carrots just aldente.... had two local cheeses to finish off. The French bread was almost certainly baked in house as was the entire petit dejeuner croissants and baguettes. Nice touch was you could squeeze your own orange juice from fresh ones. Very reasonable prices for room, dinner and breakfast..highly recommended.

Chose this restaurant on the corner for lunch, which was very busy for Ferriers. Why have the âplat du Jourâ board on the road tempting you into the restaurant on this day when they were not serving that menu. Cunning ploy!Ordered a plate of crevettes for both of us and the cuisse de canard twice. The crevettes were served on a lovely bed of salad and sauce, the canard served with oodles of chips. The canard was delightful, all devoured with plenty of fresh bread.

Newly opened, this is a good addition to Dahouet, overlooking the marina. The menu is limited and the entrées a bit over-priced (13 Euros for a plate of smoked salmon or a small slice of fois gras) but the main dishes were excellent and a good range of reasonably priced wines. Service was very attentive.the dishes are homemade and fresh which may explain that some dishes require special attention and therefore increase the cost. Thanks for your encouragement.Looking forwardsSophie

Restaurant has lovely views across the bay and we were lucky enough to get a lunch table outdoors. Really nice fresh salads with scallops, salmon, prawns - reasonably priced for what we had. Would have given a five but like similar comments wished the waiting staff carried a smile when serving.

After having a mixed experience with eating out this visit to France, this one restored my faith in French cuisine. Recommended by the proprietor of the B&B we were staying at, the restaurant occupies a lovely position in the delightful resort of Val Andre, next to the Casino. We both ordered the menu - mine was the less expensive at 23 euro comprising excellent soupe de poissons, baked pollock in a lemon sauce (delicious) and any desert on the menu which I declined as I was too full to enjoy. Shame on me!! Hubby had the pricier 42 menu as he wanted the oysters (excellent) and sole (excellent). His menu included the cheese board which we both ended up sharing. Wine excellent and accompanying calvados. Good service. Would highly recommend.

Went on Saturday night, without having reservation. By chance they had had a cancellation and so we took it. Was a little unsure as I wanted a 'genuine' french cuisine experience and this looked a little middle of the road. How wrong i was...The food was absolutely delicicious, every single course was top-knotch, from teh crab starter, right through to the chocolate/creme brulee dessert.Would definitely go back...

This is a well priced and lovely restaurant Would note that I found it difficult to book over the phone as French is not my first language and the man taking the booking was quite impatient and I think confused by my surname (McDonald - gets a strange reaction in France) Mussels were fresh and good portions. Table was a bit cramped as there were three of us at a table for two (despite booking) and there were several dishes for the shells, fries and wine and water glasses. The girl who served us was pleasant and friendly. Definitely book in advance though as we were eating as people were being turned away every ten minutes or so.
