* This was an amazing experience of a seafood buffett!!* Family owned and opperated, very friendly service.* Know repeat customers by name.* DELICIOUS!!
Their consome is awesome. Their appetizers is plenty to get full. Reasonable prices. Waitresses and waiters are always bringing refills. Love it everytime I go.

We had a good visit on a Monday night. Usually we fear to do this since most restaurants tend to be shortstaffed which impacts in their food quality. There was actually a limited staff crew but they did awesome with what they had. Food was okay, at times with all the cream and cheese on a pasta is just to much, but other than that the drink from the bar were good, and the bread too. Once again, it can really get packed at times but there are some moments where a peaceful dinning can happen.
Gamba's menu has some Mexican dishes we had not experienced before such as their fish roll (filet of white fish rolled around cheese and shrimp, battered and deep fried) as well as more typical offerings such as shrimp soup, seafood soup, fajitas etc. We were very pleased with the food we received. Prices are competitive and the service was good. We went on Sunday and it wasn't crowded.

There is not one thing on the menu that I've tasted that I wouldn't order again. The only problem is making up my mind. My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary there with our kids and grandkids. Everyone was extremely happy with their meal, even the kids. The service was beyond great and we never felt neglected or hurried. I highly recommend ordering from the appetizer menu if you're not too hungry as the portions are generous. The hand tossed cocktails are amazing as is the shrimp & grits... but the moroccan salmon is a must try as well. The steaks are cooked to perfection and every side is delicious too. Can't rave enough about Pappadeaux's!!!

Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.
Pappadeaux is a great option for fresh seafood, on a very good menu. Weâve been many times at the restaurant and always loved it, but this last time we were treated over the top by manager Ty Garza, his attention to our personal needs made a memorable experience. If youâre in the McAllen metro area be sure to visit Pappadeaux, you wonât be disappointed.
