A homely warm ambiance offering fresh daily shellfish and fish from local Cornish fishermen. The best ever Crab Sarnie washed down with a crisp white Rioja. Thursday-Saturday evenings we offer a small selection of Tapas style hot food between 6&8pm bookin
Visited on our latest trip to this wonderful village. We both had the crab sandwich on a granary roll (direct from the St Agnes Bakery). Without doubt the best crab sandwich either of us has every had. The crab meat was delicious, the bread to die for. The owner recommended a wine to go with it and it was perfect. Excellent value for money, I sincerely hope this restaurant is still there when we next visit, perfect!

We had tasty fish and chips on two occasions whilst in Newquay and they were delicious although we should have asked if the fish could be stood to drain after being cooked as it was a little greasy as was my daughter's vegetarian option. It was all freshly cooked and there was a queue so they were working hard to keep up with the demand. We will try them again on our next visit.
Yes, itâs on a campsite, but itâs open to everybody, even those not staying at Penrose Holiday Park. Dazâs Cafe is a takeaway but if you want to eat there, a seating area is available. If you are staying at the site your food will be delivered to your caravan or tent. Over several visits we had mussels in a creamy sauce, fish and chips, pizza, a huge southern fried chicken burger and a few breakfasts throughout out stay. All food is hot and well cooked and the pizza bases in particular are highly recommended. All food is homemade and cooked to order and the portion sizes are good value for money and extremely tasty. And donât forget to try the locally made ice cream.Daz and the team are very friendly and accommodating. We hope to return next year!

we arrived approx. 6pm and restaurant was very busy. was slightly disappointed that they had no haddock left. wanted to try the Huge Harry.they had cod and was available in Colassal Colin size or normal. service was very good. would love to try again but this time with the haddock. decent value for money.Little bit confused by this - was it a different restaurant you visited? We are the Harbour Fish and Grill in Newquay, situated on the Harbour. We don't serve Huge Harrys or Colossal Colins but we do offer a lovely selection of fresh fish, seafood, meat and vegetarian options!

A small seafood restaurant, with fantastic views of fistral beach, serving the freshest fish and shellfish, crab and lobster directly from Newquay harbour, with a very reasonably priced menu.
Whilst visiting friends in the area they booked us to The Fish House (they have visited previously) on Thursday 31st and overall we had a most enjoyable evening. To start we had the Grilled Scallops (3) with ginger, garlic, black beans soy and sesame oil £8.95 (excellent) and the Seafood Sharing Board (crab cakes...lovely, two salt and pepper shell on prawns, piquillo peppers stuffed with salt cod...very good, light battered squid with aioli ..disappointed....fresh focaccia...lovely texture but could have done with a little more flavour of garlic and herb) £17.95. For mains my wife had the Whole Plaice £23.00 to which she said was excellent as was our other mains ..Chickpea Stew with grilled hake £18.95 (hake cooked to perfection and lovely flavours in the stew)...Roasted Hake £18.95. To accompany our meal we had a bottle of Verdejo £18.50 and a 250ml glass of Tempranillo £6.50. The service overall was attentive, helpful and friendly especially Tia. There is no service charge. We would certainly visit again when in the area.

I chose this chippy because the notice outside claimed to cook all orders from fresh so I was prepared for a wait, turned out to be 15 minutes. All the staff seemed totally disinterested. and demotivated. The Fish was cooked fresh but very small, the chips were just warm but hard, probably been cooked about 30 minutes before the fish.If you like good Fish and Chips give this one wide berth.

Schooners is a beach front restaurant with a daily changing seafood led menu serving big flavoured small plates and some big sharing plates with a few! Open fired cooking and smokey flavours are also high on our agenda. We are home to the longest bar in t
Great menu, some lovely tapas style dishes and a couple of mains. The monkfish with crushed peas, chips and curry alioli was delicious and the double burger with gravy and gherkins was yummy although it sounds like an odd combo it worked. Great little find overlooking the beach, advisable to book in busy times, we got the last table at just after midday for lunch

First visit to Cornwall in a good few years and dropped in here after a midweek visit to the Eden Project. Exceptional. Warm and human and dog friendly welcome, great beer choice, unrivalled (in my experience) Vegetarian and Vegan Options. Generous portions...... just excellent. The Fidgit Pie alone is worth another 500 mile round trip. Delay not.
