Spanish restaurant, owners from Ibiza and Barcelona. Specializing in Paellas, Sangria, Spanish Wines List, Meats and Seafood dishes. Open for dinner.
Quaint little restaurant near the beach with a really nice menu. The paella was exceptional and loved the fact that the owners are involved as host and chef. Well worth the excursion. Personas hermosas en lugares hermosos.

The Aracari Restaurant offers local & fresh options, from vegan, vegetarian, seafood, local cuisines with our touch of fusions. Enjoy a great meal with Us!
We went to dinner here our last night in Costa Rica. This is a real jam! The sunset view is amazing the staff awesome and the food was terrific. I only wish we found it earlier. They have accommodations as well. Don’t miss this place and be sure to get there for sunset!

Ballena Bistro is located in a beautiful wooden building. Our fusion dishes are casual and creative and made with the freshest ingredients. Everything is homemade including our burger buns. We are dedicated to make your visit special.
Ballena Bistro is my favorite restaurant to visit when I am in Costa Rica. The owner, Liz is extremely hospitable and the food is amazing. When we are staying in Manuel Antonio, having lunch here is our favorite outing. The drive from Quepos is beautiful and the atmosphere at this restaurant is calm and pristine. I highly recommend the quinoa, kale dish but all of the food is delicious.Es una alegría que siempre nos visiten, muchas gracias por el review, nos veremos pronto, pura vida.

We've been returning to this small soda owned by two sisters for years. We go for their ceviche mix and their whole, fried fish which is perfect!

We stopped by for a cold beer and decided to order some shrimp. So fresh and tasty. The beer was ice cold and the view of the river with the guys fishing for shrimp was fun to watch. The iguana on the roof was so cute. Overall, this place was a great place to hang out for beer and snacks. I recommend Boca Coronado to anyone visiting the Ojochal area.

Privately owned local restaurant in the forest. 4 km from Costanera in South direction, entrance to the left hand before the Punta Mala bridge
After some of the strenuous hikes to some other waterfalls, this one was a pleasure to stroll to!! We swam in the pools under the waterfall to cool off. Then had a kicking lunch of fresh tilapia. It's very peaceful & beautiful. Not a lot people there, felt like it was our own private waterfall!

Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar, located in the El Castillo Hotel, offers an elegant setting with legendary ocean views and the most extensive fine wine selection in the area. Our on-site chef prepares dishes with the finest and freshest local ingredients.
Having just arrived in a nearby Airbnb, we decided to walk the 400 metres to Castillo’s Kitchen (described on Trip Advisor as ££- £££. When we arrived it turns out that this is the restaurant of El Castillo, a very upmarket hotel catering for Americans. Having said that we were lucky to get a table as they were usually booked, we were treated to a lengthy spiel from the mixologist and then having decided to forego the 5/7 course taster menu, ordered from the menu. NOT that there was a menu, as the Spanish speaking chef talked you through each item, and then the French waiter translated each to you. Lesson number 1: if you have to know the price of the food, this is not the place to go. The food when it arrived was good, however, you have to give feedback to the chef about it, so it is a bit like being tasters at a catering college! When one of our party commented negatively about the depth of a dish, it was not greeted with enthusiasm. You cannot pay with colones, and this meal cost us an absolute fortune. It was nice, provided an entertaining holiday story, and taught us some valuable lessons, but do not think this is the place for a good value meal out. If money is no object, and you want a full evening of food and drink exploration, go for it - but check your wallet first!

I would have given it a higher rating because my family enjoyed their entrees very much (sushi bowl, very generous serving of mussels, and the salmon). The croquetas and Vietnamese rolls were delicious too. I appreciated the GF options for my daughter as well. However, my octopus entree was so poorly prepared I couldn’t even look at the quinoa dish or the kalamata tapenade after tasting the octopus. The octopus was not placed on the hot grill after being tenderized. It was missing the charred texture so it was slimey in the mouth and very unappealing. I would have sent it back but we had already waited for our meal for so long that I gave up and tried to eat around it. Unfortunately, the party of 8 seated well after we had arrived and ordered our meal was served before us. Not sure why but it was frustrating as it delayed our own meal. I wanted to love this restaurant - the place is beautiful and the ambiance lovely - but that slimey octopus ruined my entire evening. We found our dinner at Helioconda more enjoyable and delicious with a more local flair and without the unnecessary fanciness (and pricey tab) of Citrus. We can get that - and better octopus - at home in New York City.

Sorry, we will be closed for vacation till October 30th 2019. “ The Bamboo Room' has a warm feel, spectacular ocean/sunset views, awesome food, tasty tropical cocktails and live entertainment Mon-Sat 6pm to 9pm. Quick 5 min drive off the Beach Highway and
We were volunteering at the nearby Reserva Playa Tortuga and were having a wander in the local area when we saw the signs for the Bamboo Rooms. As we were walking the 'only 500m to go' signs made us keep going when otherwise we might have given up, not knowing if it was open or not. Quite a lot of ups and downs later and we finally made it, hot and sweaty, to the Bamboo Room where the owner came and chatted to us.We had wonderful cool drinks and ice creams and sat in the bar overlooking the most amazing views over the tops of the trees in the valley below and out to the sea where our volunteering sea turtle patrols took place.A wonderful find and one that we hope other volunteers to the reserve will also make the trek to now that they have the fliers we took back :)
