地魚を供してくれる料理屋さんで、いわゆる「魚割烹」のお店です。冬から春にかけてのノドグロの脂が最ものる時季に訪問すれば、最良のものを食すことができるお店です。ずんぐりむっくりした美味しいノドグロを頂戴することができました。

This place serves mostly sushi, with the main seating area being the counter with the sushi chef behind it. It's a small place with maybe 10 seats at the counter and maybe 8 more in a separate room in the back. Sitting at the counter was really nice, because you could see teh sushi chef at work and there are also all the fish and other seafood they serve on display. There is no English menu and the staff speaks practically no English, too. However, they were really friendly and helpful, even though my partner and I speak about five words of Japanese between the two of us. The menu has pictures and you can also just point at the fish at the counter that you would like to have. We had the nigiri set and the maki set, which was absolutely sufficient for two. The sets are probably best value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed and there were a lot of local people coming and going all the time. Highly recommend this place when you are staying in Izumo and need a good place to eat away from the Taisha and town center.

のどぐろはしゃぶしゃぶでいただくのが一番好き。適度に脂が抜けてこってり感とあっさり感が同居。煮付けや塩焼きは多くのお店で提供されているがしゃぶしゃぶはなかなか見られない。丸善水産は各店で定番メニューになっているのでいただいてみたがややのどぐろの身が緩い。口にしたときに身が解けていく感じが細かく、すぐにばらばらになって、しっかりと味わい切る前になくなる。もう少し口の中で踏ん張ってほしい。のどぐろと野菜をいただいた後には、とくに〆は設定されていないので、別にご飯をいただいてセルフ雑炊。せっかくのどぐろの旨味が出ているし、最後までいただかない手はない。そしてやっぱり美味しい。島根の鯖、出雲の舞茸、しじみと山陰島根の幸を楽しみながらお酒は死神。今夜もなかなか楽しく美味しい夜が過ごせた。ごちそうさまでした。丸善水産はRCグループが鳥取、島根で展開する居酒屋チェーン。ホテルアルファーワンの山陰系列にテナントで入っている。第2松江はやはり系列の善次郎。東京でも主水を2店舗、日本橋に出しており、そちらには何度かお邪魔しているで、安心して利用できた。
