Excellent staff on hand to suggest local wines, perfect outdoor area for aperitivo, and a great restaurant if you want something more substantial to eat. Food is not traditional, they add a unique twist to dishes, and while not a hugely extensive menu the food has always been delicious.

First of all, you get a warm welcome. The dining room is calm, comfortable and the tables are nicely decorated. And now, the serious things start. The menu is very appealing. Better, you see that the cook is creative. They also use many local organic products. The wine list is also impressive. If you need help to choose, Mauro, the Maître dâhôtel, gives you bright advices. We really enjoyed a lot the dinner. Great diner! Thank you very much Marta. (Marta Grassi is the 1 Michelin start cook.)We will come back.....and all at reasonable price. If you want to stay, they have 2 rooms that are worth to be booked in advance, also at reasonable price.

On a quick visit to the town of Novara, we were lulled into this place by its cookie cutter sushi bar decor and the hope of survivable quick lunch. We did survive, but reaffirmed the conviction that we are too old for this. The place was packed with youngsters downing a steady diet of salmon flavored solid rice makis, greasy fried rice etc. For them, nine euros for unlimited pseudo jap is definitely a bargain.Pros: plates of yaki udon (though done a la chinese fired rice), nice new restrooms, minuscule price.Cons: raw fish visible under microscope, nice restroom unwashed since inauguration.

We had dinner here with some friends right before Christmas. The restaurant has a seasonal-food approach, with just few selected dishes on the menu, really high quality and pretty unique selection of ingredients. The environment looks classy and cozy at the same time, but being quite small, I would suggest to reserve a table in advance. Absolutely a must in Novara.

Novara was pretty empty at lunchtime that Sunday, so we asked a group of Italians, clearly local people, where we could find a nice place to eat. They invited us to tag along to where they were headed themselves - this Bistrot, and we each enjoyed one of the best light lunches of our week. I had a seafood starter with huge prawns on shell, and Graham ordered a pasta dish (I cannot remember what) but I can tell you that he hunted in his wallet yesteray for the receipt because he was so anxious to pass on the good news...

We went as a 30-strong group. The restaurant coped really well with a variety of dietary requirements, adapting the 7-course set menu as necessary. The vegetarian options were mainly the standard dishes with the meat removed and lacked a bit of imagination. The desert options were great, varied and fun. The risotto was also delicious.

We were searching for another Trip Advisor recommended restaurant, but it was closed. We re-routed to Sciauru, and weâre not disappointed! One of the staff did a great job speaking English for us, and was extremely friendly, and accommodating! From the pork belly appetizer to the excellent 5 fish main dish, it was a great meal, and one to remember!Grazie mille Sciauru! Multo bene!!

The stir fried noodles are awesome. Sushi is not that bad. Tonkatsu came with the totally wrong sauce. Peking duck tastes good. It was a nice meal but after that I suffered from the terrible side effect of monosodium glutamate(MSG). The dehydration was so bad and I had been thirsty real bad, plus swollen eyes effect in the next morning. Dear Clumsykid, thanks for your review. I'm sorry that you have an excess of MSG in our preparations. In Oriental cuisine MSG is used in place of common salt (sodium chloride), for its ability to melt faster in the fast cooking. At evenience of future visits to our structure will not fail to report your sensitivity, we will be happy to replace, especially for you MSG with salt. At about the sauce for the tonkatsu I would like to reassure that there isn't an error, we consciously chose to serve tonkatsu with plum sauce. Sometimes we love to do small innovations, some small signs to our preparations. Francesco.
