Food was good small portions, if you are an eater order extra. The Mahi salad was just a skimpy side salad with maybe 5oz of fish. the server really should have said something since the guy eating it was 6'2. Service was average at best. waited quite a while to get seated but other then that it was good food. just left hungry. This review is completley false. We have never served a Mahi Salad. ! There has never been a wait time and our poirtions are huge.! I am pretty sure this person ate at a different Salty Pelican. There is one in Florida as well as one in Ecuador. We asre in Nosara Costa Rica, Don't have any Mahi on the many and are mostly BBQ!!! Please remove this review!!!

If I can eat here for every meal of the day I would.Their wood fired oven adds an incredibly unique and authentic flavor to the pizzas and anything cooked in it.The diversity of flavors and combinations for the salads and entrees/platters are an experience that no other restaurant in Nosara offers. Pura Vida indeed!

Don't be put off by its location in the little shopping mall behind the gas station. The food and service are clearly among the best, if not the best, in Nosara. Incredible grilled seafood, fantastic ceviche/guacamole appetizer and even a delicious flaming pineapple dessert. Harold is the real deal. Pricy but not for the amount and quality. Will be back!!!!

We have been here on 2 occasions now. The service is horrible. It takes 30 plus minutes to get a drink. The food is mediocre at best. I had pizza which was nothing special. 10pies down the street is way better and the service is better. My husband had tuna and he said it was ok but the service made us not want to go back and we wonât. In business since 1994, Marlin Bill's offers guests of our open-air dining room panoramic views of Guiones, the ocean, and Costa Rica's world-famous sunsets, along with mouth-watering options from our eclectic menu of choice steaks, chops, fresh seafood,
This restaurant is certainly sub-standard especially for the price. I ordered chicken Parmesan but when it arrived it was covered in sauce and cheese and it looked awful. I had one or two bites and decided to leave quickly after paying. Portion size is massive and does not compensate for the poor tasting food.

I ate garlic shrimp. They were a bit overcooked for my taste, but still tasty. It was served with rice and fresh cooked vegetables: a nice assortment. Others ate steak was excellent. Another had a personal size pizza which was still large enough to share. It was thin crust with not a lot of sauce.

Experience authentic Costa Rican hospitality and fresh local, organic ingredients from the El Manglar restaurant. Conveniently located at Olas Verdes Hotel in Playa Guiones, El Manglar Restaurant offers a variety of fresh and healthy dishes and smoothies
We ate at El Manglar last night and positively loved it. The steak was perfectly done and the accompanying mashed potatoes and beans were delicious. The Healthy Pita Wrap was amazing - beyond expectations. And service from Angie was amazing - she knows just how much attention to provide, and she is a lovely warm person. The setting is so cozy - loved it! Can be a bit hard to find, but it is worth the search!Thank you for dining with us! We are so happy that you enjoyed your meals and were comfortable in your surroundings. We'll pass your compliments on to Angie. Please come back to see us again soon!

Whilst hard to find, this restaurant is worth finding for the location alone. Combined with great food this place should not be missed.Ceviche was really good, as was the beef carpaccio. The Tico was also tasty. My daughter opted for a pizza, whilst my son had the Tuna Steak, cooked rare. Both were outstanding.I guess itâs pricey for Costa Rica, but comparable to UK prices, but the setting was stunning.

Food made with love!!! Popular food gourmet style. All the food we want to see on a menu when we visit a restaurant is here.
We had lunch here and ordered fish tacos (delicious!!!), pizza (Hawaiian and 10 pies) and a quinoa bowl and everyoneâs food was very good. Half way through our lunch some monkeys decided to come out of the trees and run along the power lines which was very exciting for us to see. Service was quick and the prices are super reasonable!
