After a day up at the Etna, we looked for a restaurant in Nicolosi and found LâOsteria del Siciliano. We were a party of 6, family and friends. The food, typically Sicilian, was outstanding from the amuse bouche to the nice carte des digestifs. It was fresh, prepared with taste, delicious and nicely served. The seafood appetizers were incredible, and so was the pasta alla catanese!The two owners run the place themselves, and pay attention to every detail, being present to make sure all goes fine, but in a very discrete way. Personnel is attentive, serviceable and very kind, also with our âdemandingâ children.We will certainly come back!

The service was slow and disorganised. There is no house wine, only expensive wine by the glass or bottle. The food was not great, the pasta dishes were bland and lacked flavour. Portions are small, it's not great value for money. Oddly the window from the toilet opens into the dining area. All in all, not a great experience; there are plenty of other restaurants in Nicolosi that are vastly better.

Posto carino, ma il personale un poâ disorganizzato. Il cibo discreto, con prezzi relativamente cari. Un consiglio: il vino in calice deve essere sempre servito al tavolo, il cliente deve vedere se effettivamente gli si sta servendo il vino che ha richiesto.

Ci siamo recati in gruppo presso questo locale per trascorrere il ferragosto. Ahimè appena arrivati i primi problemi,il nostro tavolo era apparecchiato in terrazza e non dentro come da precedenti accordi! Dopo lo spostamento di tutti i tavoli a noi assegnati all'interno del locale da parte del cameriere a dir poco disponibile ed efficiente, ci siamo seduti verso le 13. Dopo quasi due ore, senza nemmeno una bottiglia di acqua, i camerieri ( pochi, solo 2 per un centinaio di persone, causa la mancanza all'ultimo momento di altri due) hanno iniziato a servire il nostro tavolo! Cibo buono ma nulla di eccezionale!Tre stelle per l'efficienza dei soli due camerieri e per le sfortunata giornata del proprietario condita da un mega temporale che ha arrecato anche danni economici al proprietario stesso.Mi riservo di ritornare in questo locale e di provare ad aumentare il mio punteggio.

After a walk around the lava deposits of Monte Etna we looked up where to eat on our way back to Catania & we chose Amina E Cozze in Nicolosi. We loved the atmosphere, it had good trendy pop music in the background. The food was good, the service was courteous & it was packed. I had risotto with mussels & lobster & I loved. We also ordered fish & chips but it was a little different from what we used to. This plate had little pieces of fish embedded in the chips. The chips was nice & crunchy. On our table we had pizza & that was good too . Looking around; sushi was popular among other customers
