We first visited this restaurant when we were visiting New West, in 2015. Now we live here so time for a return visit. The décor is bright, clean and cheerful but nothing above typical chain restaurant décor or atmosphere. The menu has been expanded since our last visit so more options. Our server was friendly and efficient, a genuinely nice person. Even though, there were more options, we all felt we should have fish and chips....halibut for two diners, cod for me. The young person always has chicken fingers. She was favourably impressed and she is a connoisseur of chicken fingers! My cod was far far superior to the much pricier halibut offers. I've had better fish and chips in land locked Ontario. The halibut was overcooked and lacking in flavour. Good fries, though, and ample servings. The coleslaw was excellent; the roll and butter, a complete waste of calories. Overall, this is a reliable place. I can't wait to go back....in four years or so.

The Boathouse was our favourite restaurant. We went every weekend. Over (a considerable) time both the quality of the food and service declined to the point where we didnât wish to visit. Very unfortunate, as the river views were gorgeous from the restaurant. We had been customers for perhaps 3-4 years, and traditionally dine out Saturdays. The gossip (unconfirmed) was that it had become a training facility & hence the reduction in quality.

Decor: 4Service: 5Presentation: 4Quality: 5Price: $$Very good fish and chips... possibly the best I've had in Greater Lower Mainland. Fries were yummy too. Great friendly service and fair price fornthe food. Try the Haddock fish it's between Halibut and Cod taste. They offer an all you can eat on Mon-Wed... for 11 bucks!!! I will definitely return.

Price was reasonable. Service was acceptable. However, the total length of time from start to finish was unreasonably lengthy. Started service just before 7pm, finished serving dessert at 9:55 pm. There were "intermission" period where no food was served. These periods lasted over 20 minutes each.Food quality varies. Roast piglet was great, some dishes have too much MSG.
