Like other reviewers, I had waited to go here because we all know businesses that open are going to have kinks to work out, so I thought this past Saturday would've been enough time but I was wrong. We squeezed our car into a parking spot, it's Saturday around 08:45pm and the place is a little busy, mostly upstairs but I could understand slower service. We go downstairs where there's a bunch of empty booths and 1 or 2 outside tables. We stood around the host stand until we finally met somebodies eyes - he said they stopped serving entree/sandwich items and are only serving appetizers...TF?? Also not serving cocktails items only mixed drinks and beer.... It was loud and I was trying to hear him, he said something about hour and a half wait times and customers walking out on $500 bills, probably due to the wait time for food. Soooo this was a huge bummer, but whatever give me those blackened mahis and we're ok. We went upstairs to see if there may be better attitudes. The rooftop bar was packed, no place to squeeze and order a drink or food. I'm looking around and I see 1 bartender working, then another bartender (I think) telling a story to a customer but not working... Dirty glasses were on the bar and on the edges, I went ahead and cleared off a little area but I didn't get noticed when I put the dirty glasses on the bar. 5 minutes later we head downstairs bc we are starving and my mouth needs beer for this situation! So the one guy host is gone, there's a chick there (who we come to find out is on day 2 of ever serving) and she's leaned against the wall staring off into space, she will be quick to learn if you got time to lean you got time to clean girlfriend! So I end up walking up to her like hey can you help me? Can we sit at then clean, empty table outside? She said she would go ask... Another guy (new) came over and sat us, the new chick came over to get our drinks. I'm thinking oh thats great shes helping out a server, well nope she was our server. We ordered 4 draft beers....waiting... A server walks by "has anyone helped you" I instantly reply no, well she got our drink orders. The server says "OK she should be back soon, it's only her second day of ever serving".... so why is she serving alone?! I immediately felt so bad for her! Still waiting... 10 minutes later our server came back asking if we knew what we wanted to order..? Girl I'm parched as heck I need a beer. The server from earlier returned, was like "Where's their beers" she said she rang it in. Welp they were out of 1 of our beers so replaced that. 5 more minutes and our beers show up woo hoo!! Our newbie came back asking if we're ready, I'm like do I really have to get an appetizer or can we get a tower or something? (towers were all over the place) She says let me check and leaves. Comes back, yeah you can get a tower. We order 1 tower and 3 appetizers. 10 minutes later we get 1 appetizer, the mahi sliders... random but whatever. 10 minutes after that we get our tower and 1 other appetizer, our server comes out and says they're out of our other appetizer of tuna dip. I don't care I'm eating now so we're OK. Also our drinks were almost empty when our food came but we never got asked if we wanted more. Mam drunk me is way more happy than sober me, and she will learn this too. Besides the negative attitudes of the host guy, the disarray of the rooftop bar, and this poor soul serving tables alone on her second day, the food was also not that amazing. Mushy peel-n-eat shrimp, crab legs didn't have a lot of meat and wasn't coming out of the shell right. Oh we had to ask for shell crackers after 5 minutes of digging in with our forks (not a huge deal but you get it). I didn't see anyone that looked like they could be the manager, or any smiles. I saw a guy running food in a wife beater which is sooo appetizing. Also they were serving real food the whole night come to find out.... so we could've gotten po boys or something! $50 for the tower of mushy shrimp and warm crab legs, even the oysters were sliding off their shells and into the ice underneath. IDK for that money I feel like I should've been full and happy but we ended up going to another restaurant and ate real food with real service at a real restaurant. I really hope management gets in here and fixes it because if they don't it will be one of the many NA businesses that don't make it. This place has so much potential!!!! Retrain your employees, get a new procedure for new servers so at least their first 2 weeks they won't be helpless! Get your food in check, hire a busser, have a game plan for busy nights because this is just the beginning of summer! You don't want more of these reviews or your business to have a bad rep, I wish you well!!!!
