Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Naxos. A spot of white in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, the island of Naxos is a unique blend of ancient ruins and beach culture. The largest of the Cycladic Islands, Naxos is the childhood home of none other than Zeus, king of the gods. Upon arrival in Naxos, hike over a causeway to Palatia, where the Portara, a stone gateway to an ancient temple that no longer exists, stands alone, the symbol of the island. At sunset, the views of the island, and the sea beyond, are breathtaking.

what a nice spot to eat lunch after renting a beach chair and spending a few hours at the beach. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English, a nice surprise! Had a great cheeseburger with fries and an aloe vera pomegranate drink, special to Naxos....Really enjoyed my stay here, would definitely return if given the option!

Fresh creative Greek and Mediterranean cuisine using the best local Naxos ingredients, fresh fish and seafood. Romantic atmosphere and chilled music by the pool at Kavos Naxos.
We decided to try the restaurant for the final night of our holiday in Naxos and werenât disappointed. The tables were outside next to the swimming pool of the hotel offering a perfect view of the sunset. The menu is extensive with something for everyone: pastas, meat, fish and even vegetarian and vegan options. There are also a range of specials every day. We chose from across the menu and everyone in the group was delighted with what they had chosen. The service was friendly and efficient. Given the location, the quality of the food and the service the prices are reasonable. If you want the perfect experience time you reservation for 30 minutes before sunset and try to get a table by the pool to watch the sun set over Paxos. If youâre in the Agio Anna area the Stelida restaurant is definitely worth a visit for a special dining experience.

Was there a few days ago with friends enjoying the sun, sea and seafood. As our aim was to have seafood cuisine and that was exactly what we had. I highly recommend Guna which is a mackerel dish, marinated octopus and mussels. Seriously amazing! The octopus was cooked very well. The balsamic in the salad that we had tasted like there was a hint of coffee in it. Was delicious. My favourite was the Guna fish.

Absolutely enjoyed our lunch at this taverna. Beautiful outdoor courtyard and very friendly waitstaff to suggest house specials. We had a very generous plate of local cheeses, several made by the family which were superb. Our favourite Alpha beer served ice cold and a sensational fresh fish grilled with local vegetables. Would go back and after a month on Naxos this was one of our top rated eating experiences. Worth a day trip from Naxos Chora.

Open all year, REAL FOOD, eat at us and win 30 trips Naxos is famous for its primary products, but also for its nutritional value. So, in order to give you the opportunity to taste them, we decided to create our family restaurant. On our 400 acres farm, w
We had the âbriamâ (something like ratatouille)and the soutzoukakia with fries (meatballs) along with traditional naxian cheese and pita bread. Then baklava with ice cream for dessert and watermelon. Every dish I mention was better than the other. We were told that all the vegetables are naturally grown by the family who owns the restaurant and who also runs it. A family owned restaurant with very fair prices and truly traditional food (I am saying this as a greek who lives in Greece). As opposed to many tavernas on the greek islands ânaxian gastronomyâ is the real deal.

It doesnât matter where your hotel is we highly recommend you make your way to Agios Prokopios and the Giannoulis family tavern and enjoy a choice of traditional home cooking. Excellent service from the moment you arrive. All the meals are very generous in size. The soutzoukakia (meatballs) are amazing. As are the Rosto pork roast, fricasse lamb, moussaka, chicken and pork souvlaki and the lamb chops. The hand cut chips are superb. And donât forget to try a traditional sweet desert such as galaktoboureko , melachrino, kataifii or baklava. A visit to Naxos is not complete without visiting the Giannoulis family tavern. We enjoyed a great dinner here which is right on Saint Georgeâs beach. We had fresh pasta with tuna steak and an amazing ribeye which came with corn fritters and Naxian potatoes and was cooked to perfection. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list. The service was excellent â our waiter was attentive and engaging. We received a complimentary bunch of grapes for dessert.
