This is the best place in the whole of Greece to eat fish and set in a wonderful location. This place has been open for just one year and is owned by wonderful family - they only set up a Tripadvisor account this week. All the fish is BBQâed. This will truly become a very busy restaurant in a beautiful corner of Greece.

Good value and tasty food but it would have been good to have had a wider choice of mezes. The fresh sardines were excellent. The views are fantastic. The staff were polite though the young man who served us seemed very engrossed in a TV soap opera showing in the main building!
New business on the "touristic" Bouboulinas boulevard. But unlike some of the other restaurants there, this is no tourist trap. The owners are 2 friends that have years of experience, and it shows. Very friendly service, and the dishes are a breath of fresh air. If you're looking for more than the so called traditional kitchen that is served to most tourists, than this is the place to be. Fine cuisine at very reasonable prices. Try the grilled fish, or the stuffed calamares to mention just a few. Worth a detour away from the crowded taverns in the inner city.Keep up the good work!!!

Excellent seafood, served with a nice and friendly touch. One of the best meals we had in Greece. Location is excellent, at the beach with a nice view. Try the sautéed octopus!

My family had dinner here tonight. The house wine was locally sourced from nearby vineyards and was top quality and perfect for the hot summer night. We ordered the giant white beans in tomato sauce (served warm), the Greek salad and the Skordalia (mashed potatoes, vinegar, olive oil and garlic served cold) to start....all were delicious. Then our waiter suggested we choose our fish from the kitchen since it is served by weight and he didn't want to serve something too large or too small for us. We chose the White Sea bass. It was perfectly prepared and served with lemon on the side. It was easy for us to take off the bone and serve ourselves and delicious. Meanwhile, while we ate, our 8 year old daughter took off on her scooter and made friends with the local kids. She stopped in from time to time for a few bites and enjoyed the freedom that this tiny seaside town offers. There's no traffic at all to worry about and kids get to be kids. At one point a local hotelier noticed me trying to lay eyes on my daughter and pointed out that she was with her daughter down the lane. There is something very special about this place.

We had two salads and moussaka and a beef souvlaki with house wine for 36 Euro. Excellent service. Nice Atmosphere. Thank you very much for your review! Next time we hope we'll get some more stars!!!

The restaurant is located on the road overlooking the sea. They open early so if you like to eat dinner early it is possible to get a meal at 5.30 .The service is friendly and swift , white wine is good ( served by the glass if required) and the food is spot on , try the fried shrimps / sardines as starter and sea bass / dorande to follow As with all restaurants they serve fruit to follow .Can thoroughly recommend

Alaloum doesn't look that special. But our food here was just amazing. On the first night, my squid was some of the best seafood I had ever tasted while the lamb on night two was just heavenly. We had been recommended to go here by our hotel. And I am so glad they let us into the secret. It didn't feel as commercial as many other restaurants in Nafplio but it fills up very quickly. The fact that so many Greek people eat here is a very good sign for me. We eat out a lot.Although we were only in town for two days, we couldn't resist eating here both nights.I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Sometimes we travel to countries because we love the food. That is how I feel about Greece. Personally, I love octopus. On our very first night in this lovely city we were advised to have fresh fish and octopus at this restaurant. What a disappointment! The octopus was dry, tough, and overcooked. The presentation was also poor. You shouldâve seen my face when I saw the plate. Besides that dish, everything else we ordered was thrown in our face. No sense of timing whatsoever! We felt like we were eating in a cafeteria and not at a pricey restaurant.Dear customerI would like to make sure that your meal was at the fish tavern BOUNOS -psarosavouras because many customers are confused with a nearby restaurant. Please look carefully our inscription because what you say does not reflect the image of our staff.Yours sincerely Bounos-psarosavouras

Pidalio Mezedopoleio was a recommendation by the owner of our rental apartment. The food was decent enough - my mixed grill was tasty and my partners octopus with aubergine was an interesting combination. Service was friendly and I'd certainly eat here again.
