Staying in the region for a few days we stopped here for lunch and were totally charmed by this restaurant. We had an local antipasto plate, excellent in taste and plentiful, and two brilliant dishes with home-made pasta's, one in sauce with sausage and saffron, one with seafood. Together with a refreshing glass of white, this made a great meal. This is a place we would like to come back to. For those on the road we would say: it is worth to stop here.

The service was good and the waitor spoke good english. He was quick to offer suggestions as to what we should try. We ordered the triple starters & mains and they gave us 3 smaller portions of starter & main to try.

Been there for dinner, it took some time to get the menus and few couples arrived after us got them before us. Except for that, then the service was fine. We had starter bottarga with ricotta cheese and raw fennel. Not interesting and flavours do not really match. The positive was a lot of bottarga that I really like. We ordered spaghetti with vongole and bottarga and spaghetti with prawns. They were ok, prawns very good, a generous portion of grated bottarga with clams, but definitely too oily and please do not put parsley leaves on top of the spaghetti like in the cheap touristic restaurants. Then grilled octopus, that was overall well presented and good, just maybe some parts a little chewy.I was expecting more from this restaurant.Maybe a secondary issue but I had an Ichnusa beer and found out it was 33cl whilst in all the other restaurants I went in costa rei, was the 50cl for the same price, as far as I recall it was not specified in the menu. Overall it was not bad but I am not sure I will give them a second chance shall I ever go back to costa rei.

Lovely food... had the orata which can be small but the portion was fabulous... crispy skin.. beautiful taste. Staff are attentive and kind (elderly parents in tow!). Desserts, I am informed by the olds, are delicious! Great view out to the sea if you get the right table.

Ambience of the place very intimate so great for couples celebrating; there is a play area for toddlers so it's also great for families. Sit inside or outside on the garden patio, your choice; we preferred inside to avoid cigarette smoke. Food fascinating and portions quite big. As the name suggests, there is a predominance of fish/seafood dishes. This is family run and it shows - the team work well together both front of house and in the kitchen. Staff unfailingly friendly and helpful.

I have never had an eating experience like this. It's just 10 places in a garden in a house on a side street of Muravera that you'd never stumble onto by yourself. We were sent by our b&b. There's no choice. They just bring starter after starter of the freshest seafood you'll ever eat, then a copious pasta dish, then plenty more fresh fish. Everything is fished by the waiter. The price is ridiculously reasonable. I suppose the fact there's no menu means that it's ideal if you don't speak Italian, but you'd miss out on the fun and informative conversations with the hosts. And walk here, don't drive, because at the end they keep pulling out the after-dinner digestivi.

WE visited here for dinner with friends who have been before and we were not disappointed. although outside Villaputzu, the restaurant is just off the main highway and easy to find. THe building is large and modern and caters for large parties as well as more normal dining needs. THe very large dining room is rather too well lit and painted white, so intimate dining isn't really possible, however, it is the food on the plate and the outstanding service that are really important and we got both this evening. A full menu is offered and would probably be very good but we were recommended to order the antipasti Misti, caldo e Freddo (hot and cold), followed by a dessert (dolce). DEpending on the fish available we were presented with a wide range of dishes for the four of us, from shark through to tempura prawns and they were delicious with the very nice bottle of vermentino we chose. THe maitre d' speaks excellent English, having spent 4 years in London as a head waiter at the Ritz Hotel. IN summary, an excellent dining experience. THe total bill was E130 for 4 of us, including a cover charge, wine, water and bread. THe atmosphere (ambiente) could be improved by softer lighting, but for hotter times of year there is a large terrace to use for dining.HIghly recommended and we do hope that local Sardinian people will support this restaurant for an alternative dining experience.

Very nice place and easy to find. The big room where the dinner is served is very spacious and nicely put, everyone is extremely kind.Is advisable to book in advance and let them know if you have any special diet requirement. As a Vegetarian I found this place rather nice apart from the fact that they served the ravioli with the same sauce they cooked the sausage in (for the gnocchetti pasta), the taste of meat was strong at first bite but you can then ask to bring it without the sauce and you should be good to go.Many different dishes, a couple of starters and a couple of first courses.Portions are generous, but we did not get a dessert, very unusual.Drink as much as you want is also a plus if you are a big drinker. The pasta is homemade and really nice!Kind Edif, thank you for the review, I would like to point out that all the special menus (vegan and celiac vegetarians) are cooked while being careful not to "contaminate" dishes with ingredients that go against your ethics. So it is impossible to have served the ravioli with tomato sauce and sausages, also because the ravioli serve him with simple tomato sauce, malloreddus to the sausages were taken to his wife,Thank you very much Michael.See you next time

We stayed here for a week and ate in the restaurant several times. It is family run and they are a delight. They speak some other languages, a little English for instance. Dinner has been excellent.with many and varied choices. Very good pizza. Recommended.
