Reviews on Seafood food in Moraira, Province of Alicante, Spain. An old fishing town on Spain's Costa Blanca against a backdrop of mountains, Moraira is a picturesque destination for a family holiday. You will find a combination of sandy and rocky beaches alternating with intriguing coves, and the climate is a sunny but temperate one. If you are looking for water sports, head for Portet Cove which was originally a safe haven for ships. It is within walking distance of the lookout tower near the Cap d'Or, from where there are spectacular views of the coastline. Don't miss the eighteenth century castle, right by the shore. Golf lovers will be pleased to know that Moraira has three golf courses. As well as spending time on the beach, you can enjoy a boat trip and admire the clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. On your return, choose from a delightful array of restaurants along the shore.

Most expensive meal of our holiday and most disappointing .Ate as a family of five.Friendly service in pleasant setting Hake excellent Paella major disappointment . Having waited an age , the specially made pan to serve 3 people had a meagre amount of ingredients in relation to the high cost . This was especially frustrating as a nearby table appeared to have twice as much in the pan to serve two people . Inconsistent portion size and 3 of us were left hungry .Cannot recommend

We ended up having 4 evening meals here. Tried a couple of others, but they lacked the atmosphere, setting and friendly service here. Beautiful setting beside the sea, with glass doors opening to really connect with the outside. Over the 4 meals we had different sorts of fish, chicken, steak (the fillet steak with a mushroom and cognac sauce was just sublime and cooked to perfection). We even had a lobster paella...just wow, with a great taste and crust underneath.Other than the steak, highlights for me were the sardines (starter), grilled octopus (starter) and prawns with garlic (starter)....and the sole (main)...wow!If you have room for desert, the chocolate fondant is really rich, as is the tiramisu. Each night the restaurant was full and glad we booked a table on our last 2 visits.I have no idea why this place is rated as it is on TA - it should be much closer to the top.

Modern Mediterranean restaurant, creative and market cuisine. Overlooking the beach. Excellent fresh fish and seafood. Homemade desserts, extensive wine list and cocktails. Large terrace overlooking the beach.
We had a pleasant meal here. We opted for paella - I enjoyed the seafood one although it only had 1 scallop and 1 piece of octopus! My husband had the chicken one but in hindsight would have prepared a different one as heâs not a fan of meat on the bone but thatâs just a personal preference. Spaghetti Bolognaise was a big hit for my youngest child. The only real criticism was the â¬7.50 charge for a large beer - the most expensive we have come across in Moraira! The location was nice enough but it didnât justify a premium like that!We appreciate your comment, it is not for nothing but our seafood paella does not carry scallops or octopus. It has monkfish, mussels, shrimp and squid. With the price of beer just tell it is a 75 cl beer. I don't think it's so expensive

As the name suggests this restaurant is in a great location where you can people watch and relax whilst enjoying good food. A great menu choice with something for everyone. One cautionary note, the tapas portions are very generous so most people will only need two tapas. There are so many good restaurants in Morairia and this is definitely one of them.

We tried The Food Bar by Republic today for the first time, on the occasion of my wife's birthday. We have been regular visitors to several of this restaurant's close competitors such as La Cabana for several years. The most positive aspect of this outlet is the setting, which is superb. We were disappointed with today's meal experience. We ordered starters and main courses, aperitives and a bottle of rose wine. Of the four dishes, two were fairly well executed; two were poorly prepared. My wife ordered lobster which was very undercooked in parts. The meat in the claws was almost raw.Our bill for two was in excess of 110 euros. When we are paying approximately 55 euros per head, we do not expect to make repeated requests for the wine to be poured into empty glasses. The service was slow and unenthusiastic.Overall; a place to avoid.

Iâve been here with my family last night and Iâve never ate such a delicious pizza in my life. My husband decided to get the porchetta and it was simply amazing, while my son ate a carbonara and my daughter a plate of pasta with truffles, both really good as well. Everything was exquisite and succulent and the servers were very nice and courteous. Had a great dinner on the roof terrace with some spectacular views of the sea under the stars. A place to be recommended, we will be back for sure!Thank you so much.We are very happy you enjoyed your experience here with us.Arrivederci.

This restaurant has great friendly service, delicious fresh seafood in good-sized portions at reasonable prices given the quality of the food, and in a good location. The restaurant is spacious and nicely furnished both inside and out, and is a serious contender for a michelin star rating. It also provides a nice amuse bouche and even offered us a free after-dinner drink. Long may this restaurant continue.Dear clients,Thank you so much for your kind words and for your excellent and accurate comments. We love El Portet and liked to walk here via Moraira sea front most days. It was lovely to sit at a table and watch the world go by and gaze at the incredible view. Enjoyed the sangria and almendras and some light snacks such as bocadillos but the rudeness of the waiters finally got to us and we didnât return. My husband has red hair and has to be careful in the sun so we prevaricated over the best seat for him to be in the shade. A waiter nearly threw one of the chairs in his attempt to reposition it. I can forgive their fairly basic food, that despite being in Spain we were given tinned fruit in the sangria but I cannot forgive rudeness.Señora este rst es el raco de larros,no esta en el portet, esta opinion no corresponde a mi rst, gracias.

We love eating seafood and whilst in Moraira, we decided to try out the Piscis restaurant as it is rated highly on Tripadvisor. We called in the restaurant one Tuesday evening without a reservation, however, we were offered a table for 2 as there were some tables free. We were offered a glass of sparkling white wine once seated. There are plenty of fish dishes in the menu. We had a mixed salad and prawn cocktail as starters and our mains consisted of mixed grilled fish and peppers stuffed with squid. Both dishes were delicious; the fish was cooked to perfection and the squid's sauce was out of this world, absolutely tasty. We were so full that we did not order any dessert. The service was attentive and personal which was very pleasant. We had a lovely meal here and would come here again. The Wise-OnesSeptember 2019
