A progressive restaurant and seafood heaven at the Ecuadorian coast, Ruta de Sol. Set in the small village Olon, we are open, social and cultural. International menu with flavours and inspiration from all over the world. The menu changes almost weekly. Or
Lovely little restaurant. We happened to be there when live music was playing which was a nice bonus! I was with a friend who is vegan and the chef whipped her up something special and she said it was absolutely phenomenal.

We stopped in after walking up the beach for about an hour, looking for a refreshing drink. Looking down from the Malecon this looked like the best place and we weren't disappointed. Vern had a Pilsner and I had a pineapple smoothie/shake. It was delightful, naturally sweet, very refreshing. As I'd almost completed the drink he brought out the rest and refilled my glass. I was stunned1 Who does that? Then to top that a street sweeper came by, working and he asked if he'd like some water. The man said yes. He got out a plastic cup, full of ice and water and gave it to him. You must give props when someone is a decent human as well as a good business man.

Our dinner here was perfectly crept able but nothing to write home about. The most me,or able part of the meal was the cocktails. If you're looking for a pleasant space on the main drag to get out of the hustle and relax, and for some reason don't want to go to Tiki Limbo across the street, this is a good choice.

We've been to Rocio several times on different trips to Montanita. It looks upmarket but the food is reasonably priced. I've had the seared tuna and some of their fish specials, all cooked perfectly. The greek meze is very good too. Wine is not too expensive, the only thing that they should change is that using a bank card adds on a huge surcharge (I think it was 15%) so added on to the IVA (12%) it's a bit of a jump from the prices on the boards.

One of the finest places in town. Happy hour starts at 4pm with cocktails worth 4 times the price in any other country, personally the best drinks in 2 months of roving South America in search of a decent martini-which Lido does not make. However, the $9 burgers including a mojito should make this a destination on a Tuesday night if not for any other delicious item off the grill. Vegetables you ask? They have those too, which are as rare as a good martini...

Come to try the best Montañita's pizza. We have seafood, spaghetti, ceviche, Ecuadorian and Latin American food. Drinks, beer and desserts.
We stumbled into this place walking from the beach. Very glad we did!!! The freshly made pizzas were DELICIOUS and the pina coldas were easily the best we had in town. Our waitress was also very friendly and good at her job. We even came back a second time. ¡Thank you, Ross! ¡We wait you back soon!

We were not discouraged by the fact that we were the only guests at that moment - probably because of late Sunday evening and low season and we didn't regret it. This place is known for huge empanadas with different fillings. We went for hawayana and one with ham and mushrooms and both were delicious. For a drink try jugo de tomate de arbol.

The view of this restaurant is itâs best asset. Being right on the beach you get the breeze while at your table. The cuisine is typical Ecuadoraian/Peruvian fare. Like most places in town the service is rather slow but wasnât a problem. All of our food was good though a little overpriced. I did love the Lost Dharma Initiative theme they have going on. Dear Ross thanks so much for the feedback, for sure we are going to improve the service in the resturant! We hope seeing you around!

Found Tiki Limbo the first afternoon of a 3 day weekend and ended up there everyday at least once. A full coffee bar with espresso, doppio, cappuccino, etc. delicious pastries (try the croissants). A creative menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner - the chefs really know what they are doing...for dinner try the crab cannoli! Canât say enough about the atmosphere and friendly staff - my weak Spanish combined with their good English made for a fun time. Tiki Limbo is a world class place!
