Like another reviewer we used a Restaurant.com certificate to make this a very thrifty evening. Our server could not have been more gracious and the food was excellent. Portions are large so my husband and I shared mussels, a wonderful tricolor salad and an excellent paella. We enjoyed the red sangria served by the glass or pitcher and finished with dessert and very good coffee.

Arrived w reservations seeking a quiet table. We had our choice because of the hour. Ordered our Cosmo and Martini, prepared as requested, perusing menu and considered specials. Shortly after a couple arrived. The gent immediately asked that ac be lowered and proceeded to talk very loud the entire time. Another couple joined them and his banter was so continuously loud that we asked to change our table to the opposite end of dining area. Waitstaff were genuine in accommodating. (People complain about children in restaurants...he surpassed them and should know better!)So the dinner:Hearty bread, roll, butter and red pepper sprinkled cured olives on table Appetizers: clams casino, empanadas...two each of shrimp*, beef, chickenGratis plate of potato chipsMain: branzino* simply grilled and bone removed table side, mariscado verde...shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels but lobster was but a bite and shell tail empty...nice verdeSides: excellent seasoned fluffy rice, steamed potato and vegsDessert: MolotovAs we left dining room filled more, and an adjacent room was truly filling with young adults enjoying an evening out. Good sign!Fine service.

LISBON CAFE is a total vacation in your mouth. The food is exciting, the menu has plenty of choices for everyone and surprising many entrees reflect a little of Italian influence? So if your family/group of friends can't decide on whether to have meats or seafood, Portuguese cuisine or Italian inspired dishes...you got to try Lisbon Cafe. The weekends are always packed and I try to dine during the week because of that exact reason. No need to huddle with the masses all trying to taste this delicious restaurant. Really it's that good! Check out my pictures and you'll see why. This restaurant is proud of it's Portuguese culture and they are very helpful in wine selection as well as aiding in your choices whatever suits you. A big plus in customer service! I promise you won't leave hungry but so so satisfied. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables from time to time!

Our traditional Portuguese food, confectioned and served by our knowledgeable Chef and staff, make this an authentic experience that only gets better with each pitcher of our home-made Sangria. Heart of Portugal has the type of cuisine that takes you back
six of us enjoyed a great lunch here recently. Ambience is unique, our waitress was excellent and made some great food suggestions. Started with shared apps of grilled octopus - delicious and sausage. Followed by a family style salad and then our entrees. Paella was served in it's own pot and tasty! Salmon with mustard sauce was delicious. All were accompanied by a delicious yellow rice (perfectly cooked) and steamed veggies, also served family style. An enjoyable outing!

Mediterranean/Continental/Restaurant
This visit to Crabtrees was our first since it opened. Mediterranean/American style is not my first choice for eating out. But to make the wife happy and our friend happy since it was her birthday and our 50th anniversary. The service is excellent with water being repeatedly refilled and the crumbs removed very quickly. The 1st thing that annoyed me was this pesky fly throughout the whole time we were at the table. No one is going take swats during a meal so I have no solution. The front door is constantly being opened. My 2nd problem (and I know it is my fault), was the vegetables. Each dish comes with mashed potato and a mix of vegetables like yellow and green zucchini, stringbeans, and pieces of broccoli(ugh) and some slices of beets (ugh 2).For starters our friend had the buratta salad and i shared the escargot with wifey. That came in the full shell on a plate of garlic sauce which is what makes this dish so good. For main course our friend had the darla's chicken, wife had the salmon and I had the porterhouse style 16 ounce pork chop. The chop was huge and covered with sauteed peppers and onions. The chop was very good but I probably would have been happier had I stuck with my first thought of getting 2 appetizers and a salad. I studied the menu and really wanted the calamari plate and the escargot with a salad.Appetizers and salads run from $11-15 while most main dishes run in the teens to 30+.When we arrived the place was not too filled but when we left on a Sunday nite , it was packed. If you are still hungry for dessert, get the gelato.

Very nice Japanese buffet with all sorts of food items, soups, ramen, sushi, grill meats, and a lot more! Pace yourself, there's a lot to get through.

Located in Carle Place for 3+ decades, the food is so consistently good with massive portions, it is always busy. Their seafood, pasta and especially their sauce (shipped all over the world) make this the favorite Italian/seafood restaurant for multi-generations. Their sauces (mild-med-hot) are just the best. The hot is too hot for me, but their mild and medium dance on my palate. Started with a beautiful caprese salad and fried zucchini wheels for the table. I had shrimp balls Parmigiana over angel hair with medium sauce, my brother ordered eggplant rollatini. As good as ever! It's my "go-to" whenever I visit L.I.

And celebrate we did! Drinks, especially the wonderful choices of Belgian beers are terrific. I always enjoy the mussels here at Waterzooi along with the required pomme frites . Any sauce you choose for the mussels is fantastic but I enjoy the Pernod. Service is good, portions are good size. Remember to realize that this restaurant Iâd usually noisy but lots of fun.
