Despite preserving much of its historic identity, changes in the 20th century have transitioned the hamlet into a desirable and densely populated suburban area. Life is too short to dine at mediocre restaurants. This restaurant is far from mediocre....it is fantastic! Try the fried calamari or mussels or baked clams....all great. The fresh fish, whatever way you like, is always good. We like fish prepared oreganato. The lamb we had was cooked to perfection. Happy hour is terrific and if you like beer...they have many superior brands and choices. We will try this again very soon.

Bought for fish for my holiday party from land and sea. Not only did they prepare my salmon, sea bass, and tilapia for me the way I asked (no butter or oil), they suggested wine sauce and breaking which made these entrees POP! They were all delicious

We had such a good meal last night at PJâs Lobster House.We enjoyed fresh great tasting oysters at $19.99 per dozen...great price! The lobster and swordfish dinners with two sides were terrific. I had swordfish scampi.....great. My husband enjoyed a two pound lobster....super. This is a wine and beer place with a large fish market attached. We will be back...

This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining, not from the Port Jefferson ferry. We were outside on a sunny day for lunch, and it was beautiful. The restaurant can be easily missed since it is directly off a parking lot.We each had one appetizer and a salad. I had a crab cake which was outstanding! It was fresh, made on-site by the chef, not, pre-made. Unlike other crab cay I have had, it was not filled with bread crumbs. My husband had a shrimp cocktail, 3 jumbo shrimp. We both had salads, were excellent. We are glad that you and your husband enjoyed your crab cake, shrimp cocktail, and salads! We greatly appreciate the review and hope you dine with us again.

The setting is convenient from the Port Jeff ferry, and tables are set up nicely outside for 'seaside' dining. The views are a bit lacking, and the food was mediocre/forgettable. Service was also a little spastic - okay at times, severely lacking moments later. This was on a first visit to Port Jeff, and I would definitely try something else before coming back here.
