Tucked away in the Cross Creek shopping area near Soulcycle, actually hidden down a mini-alley, is Broad Street Oyster Company. The menu is pretty limited, but everything we ate was absolutely fresh and delicious. Plan on ordering some lobster rolls and fresh shucked oysters. Have a beer or a glass of wine, and imagine that you are in a New England version of Malibu dockside in a harbor. And the prices are reasonable, which is extremely rare in Malibu. We will be back here frequently!
I LOVE â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸ Brussels sprouts. Thank you Kristyâs Cafe for such a wonderful breakfast.Thereâs a nice patio outside but a bit chilly the morning I went. It was fairly quiet when I went for breakfast but a nice space which was recently remodeled to have a bar.

The room that my husband and I stayed in was a solid 5 stars. It was impeccably clean and well-appointed, superbly decorated, offered terrific and thoughtful amenities (including binoculars to see the sailing ships out at sea), and boasted an amazing view. We asked for the Ocean side suite, that was newly renovated, and enchanted us with a modern fireplace. The king-size bed was firm and made you want to live in there. The charming love seat even had a chenille throw! But overall it will get 4 stars from me, which of course, is still great! We had a beautiful stay. However, Malibu Beach Inn loses a star from me because despite a world-class environment, stellar accommodations, and a better than average restaurant, it was still missing something. I think it was something in the customer service. It did not feel luxury...at least not as much as other places I have stayed. It was delightful to find chocolate chip cookies upon check-in, and chocolate on the bed during turn-down service at night, and I absconded with a few of their very fine writing pens....but still, missing something. Here's the thing: A truly luxury experience anticipates your needs, stands apart, and never leaves you alone, while not being intrusive. Staff is seen but not heard, like ghostly servants a la "Be My Guest." They should not distinguish nor discriminate between the well-dressed guest and the pauper-looking guest. A guest should NEVER feel as though he or she has to "live up to" the place that he or she is going to or staying at. Instead, true luxurious places always make it feel that the guest, regardless if he is Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey who do luxury all the time, or Mom and Pop who saved all year to afford a really nice vacation/staycation, is a treasured and honored visitor. (By the way, my husband and I are in the latter set, not the former!) But Malibu Beach Inn, bless its heart, made us feel as though we were just outside the "smart set." The staff looked askance at our jalopy of a car, our wrinkled traveling clothes (we took a road trip there), and crazy, crappy mismatched luggage and plastic bags. Hey, whatever...it was a last-minute decision to go...don't judge us! LOL. The fact is, we can clean up really nice, and we did that night for dinner. You would not have thought that we were the same people! But the snobbery of this place is excruciating. At least, that was our perception when we were there. It's a weird little quirk. In contrast, the Four Seasons is super high-end, but you don't feel cowed at all by that. Maybe the staff could be encouraged to give amazing service, without being uptight. Loosen up, be engaged, SMILE more, and ask about your guests, where appropriate. You make people feel special when you are truly interested in them, and seem genuinely happy to see them! We had traveled since early the morning, but there was no joy on the faces of the front desk when we arrived--which is in a clever little boxed house outside the hotel...with one exception: The guys who helped us out of our car. They are like bellhops. They were super nice, friendly, and down-to-earth. But even they seemed a little uptight, like they were being watched. Also, we were there for my hubby's birthday, so some acknowledgement of that would have been nice. It was nice to have an in-room massage which we were able to arrange with the front desk, as the hotel's spa was closed when I was there.TL;DR: Nearly perfect hotel, but it caters to snobs and squares.

My wife loves this restaurant. The menu is very basic grilled or fried fish with some sides or in a sandwich. However it's very good and feels very fresh.

No question about the atmosphere and water views...very nice and fun! However the two of us found it difficult to find a something interesting on the menu that didnât feed four to seven people! Many dishes are designed for groups or large families. There are sandwiches, soups, and salads to choose from; however, our experience with our food choices was of average quality. Interior decor is pleasant; water views are beautiful. As others have noted, parking fee is reduced to $10 (on weekends) if you spend more than $30 or $35 in the restaurant (easy to do since everything is overpriced...youâre being charged for the view!). By the way our server was patient, helpful, and wonderful. That said, I will likely try another place if I return to the area.

The Sunset Restaurant is a lovely getaway from the hustle of life. Let our staff whisk you away on a culinary journey you are sure to enjoy.
Wonderful spot. I loved it. Finnally, normal healthy food! We had a table outside on the terrace because seating upstairs took a while. Because we couldnât see the sunset the hostess told us that most guests walked to the front of the restaurants or to the beach acros the street. We started in the bar with a cocktail. Most people were dressed up. The food is fresh and creative. The hostess is nice. The spot is marvellous. After dinner we walked to the beach for 5 minutes to enjoy the sunset and make pictures. It was our last night in LA.The only setback was that the valet man was angry because we had taken too long at the beach??? Excuse me?? We just spend a fortune on cocktails, wine and food?? My husband was quit upset about it. Is there a time period for dining out?

Duke's Malibu has brought the excitement of Hawaii, Waikiki, and surfing to the mainland. The spectacular oceanfront location on Pacific Coast Highway offers over 300 feet of romantic oceanfront dining and memorabilia from both Hawaii and California surfi
We went out of our way to visit Dukes as we love the one in Honolulu. We were not disappointed. Excellent service with fresh food. The menu is smaller, but all four in our party found something that appealed. We all enjoyed our meals, along with the magnificent ocean views. We ended sharing the must have hula pie.

Enjoyed my sea bass, grilled and seasoned to perfection. Loved the sautéed vegetables, cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the crispy fried calamari infused with a truffle flavour. Breathtaking ocean view right beneath the restaurant. Buzzy place, fun crowd, nice live music with good entertainment. The desserts were excellent. Loved their massive signature cake with the blob of ice cream on top as well as the rich but yummy profiteroles.

Geoffreyâs is a treat for any meal or reason. Located on PCH Hwy in Malibu my wife and I visited for a Saturday breakfast and were seated on the deck facing the ocean. Service was first rate, meals were terrific and an inspiring view to boot! Valet parking makes entry and departure a breeze.

Oceanside restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views for romantic dining. Our chic nightspot. Serenades by live DJs spinning hot tracks nightly in the Blue Lounge, brims with a vogue, Hollywood-meets-Malibu crowd, indulging in a tranquil, yet hip vibe.
This was such a wonderful surprise. Window seats hanging over the water....so great if available... the earlier the better. We got there on a Friday nite about 6 and were able to get a window.Food and drinks were very good but a bit pricey. Our dinner for two with tip was around $200 but it was worth the two hours of fun we had hanging over the water. The cod was excellent as was the short rib pasta and the shrimp pasta.
