I've just had crispy gluten-free battered fish and chips. Their separate fryer takes time to warm up. 0115 9720001. 'Mini' fish chips and peas for less than £5 and it was beautiful.

I would like to say ,the fish and chips have very much improved lately ,The Fish is cooked fresh when you walk in the shop,the chips have improved as well ,and there is an offer on where you get fish ,chips and peas for £4, keep up the good work Charlie.

Its been a long time since I visited Sandiacre Fish Bar, but decided to call in to grab a quick lunch. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. All freshly cooked and generous portions. Sorry I left it so long between visits

Delicious mini-cod, excellent chips too - tried some tasty cockles and mussels as starter. Service good, boy a lot of seating it comfortable enough and pleasant. Two hour parking nearby.Looking forward to going back and trying something more elaborate as the menu included oysters, swordfish, hake, monkfish and an interesting sounding fish stew!They also sell fresh fish!

Previously visited and enjoyed the Bramcote branch so we decided to try our recently opened local restaurant.The menu is almost identical but everythingelse just didn't compare...The fish was slightly greasy. The staff were less friendly and the layout of the restaurant seemed cold and poorly lit. The floor was awfully slippy and the experience was one we will not be repeating.Oh, and value - £9.70 each for cod or haddock plus £1.50 for bread and butter, plus £2.80 for a fanta and a coke - £26.50 for 2 adults. George's is better value locally!!!

We ordered our meal at the same time as two other tables and by the time we got ours the 1st table had finished their's and were paying! Service was appalling, even though it wasn't particularly busy, with two young girls who obviously didn't want to be working. Food as good as ever when we eventually got it.

Given a lot of the reviews that we had read we were both somewhat disappointed by our meal. Compared to other Indian restaurants local to us in Milton Keynes this would have been more pricey but less authentic or satisfying. The restaurant is pretty tired, service was good but much of the food was bland.
