At one time we drove thru Kokomo weekly and often planned meal times for the many restaurants on the main highway. Those days are gone, but again we found ourselves in the area at dinner time. Many places have closed with the highway bi-pass but the Red Lobster was still there, although a bit empty. Nice server, usual good food, reasonable bill which I paid, with my usual credit card, and here's the problem. My fault, I forgot the card in the bill folder thingy. 250 miles later when I went for it to buy gas I realized what I had done and called both the restaurant, and the card people. The manager (Tony or Anthony) said they could only release the card to me in person, with a photo ID, which is smart and right. Told him to shred it and forget it. The card people said this happens all the time and fedex'd me a new card, same number to save having to change the many things I have on auto-pay. End of story.. no! Today the good people at BankAmerica called to say they have a number of "strange" transactions on my account totaling over $600. and would I go over the last few times I used the card, which we did. Now I have a new number and have to watch things for a few days to see if any small things got past the block. Again, the nice card people said this happens all the time and not to "go off" on the restaurant, server or manager as it could have been anyone in the entire place. Lesson learned. I'm getting older and have done this a few times in the past but nearby so we can just pick up the card. The majority of restaurant people are hard working and honest, so to keep the honest people honest, it's up to me to keep the temptation out of their hands.

We stopped one evening and ate in the bar. The atmosphere was casual and friendly. Will was an excellent server and we enjoyed our meals. I had chicken piccata and enjoyed the remainder of my large portion for lunch the next day. Others at our table liked their lasagna, shrimp cocktail and rigatoni as well. The owner, Jason Gray, stopped by our table and told us of his plans for private parties, new wines and lunch in the near future. Try Giasoneâs and you will be pleased.

We come here a couple times a year, not fancy but consistent. Food is good and the staff are friendly; a throwback to the kind of restaurants prevelant before the rise of the chains. Fish dishes obviously are great, but definitely try the bean soup and the hush puppies. Also, if you like ranch dressing, this is the place to order it.

Very basic place but I was surprised by the varied menu. I was in for a takeout for myself, son and girlfriend. Got Gyros and fried cheese for myself and Son. We are blended Greek. Got girlfriend the fried chicken. All food was good, plentiful and hot. Really wouldn't want to eat at the facility. Need major updates and bathrooms we not really functioning. I did not go for the dining. Based solely on the food I was satisfied.
I rarely review chain restaurants but I had to comment on how good this joint was. I get the mood for LJS probably 3 times a year and was happy that I stopped in here to feed my craving. The lady at the counter was probably the most polite and up beat fast food worker I've ever met. The fish here was very good it wasn't soggy and tasted as though it had been cooked in fresh oil.Others must think the same about the place because it was very busy. So if your looking for a greasy fish fix this is the place to go.
