We are long time regulars at this restaurant... that might be the problem. The only changes to the menu at Mr. Edâs is the pricing. The food is consistent, but the menu is stagnant, boring... never a change other than rising prices. The side dishes here are never different... green beans and potatoes. No imagination. No chef specials. Maybe no chefs?Pricing is now above neighborhood restaurant range. But still there are plastic cups.I used to be a fan, but the success of this local chain seems to their demise.

Stopped there during long layover in NOLA. Arrived around brunch time so went with BBQ Shrimp Omelet. Easily best thing I've had at an airport. As someone else mentioned, my expectations for airport food are very low so I didn't even take picture before digging in. Really good. We also ordered Shrimp & Grits. Also good. A little pricey but airport food is always overpriced. Oh, and make sure you order some French bread!

We were sat at a wobbly table. We sat for at least 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. We ordered drinks and food because we had plenty of time to review the menu. After we ordered we were informed the specialty of the house rotisserie chicken would be 45 minutes because of presumably a surprise catering order. 15 minutes later I got my cocktail. They allowed me to substitute chicken on my order with an extra portion of beef, which I could not discern from the pork. Service was slow all throughout. No offer to make us feel better. Ron- My name is Jennifer Noble and I am the General Manager. I am so sorry to hear about your experience at our restaurant This certainly is not the experience that we teach our staff. I am disappointed in our performance and would love the opportunity for a second chance. Please call me at the restaurant 504.468.7733 so that I can personally apologize, and also try to entice you to give us another chance. Thanks for sharing the constructive comments. It is a very crucial step in the ongoing training my staff. Jennifer Noble

Good place to bring family or date night .. Clean restrooms and restaurant. the only thing I could say needs improvement would be parking very limited .

With two adjacent buildings, don't be confused by the after hours bar and the family restaurant. The restaurant is nothing fancy and everything you want in a local seafood place. Fresh food, down-home cooking, friendly service and lots of regulars are among the good attributes. And the prices are commensurate with a real local neighborhood place, and not upscale locations heavy on ambiance and fancy fixtures. For $19.95 -- including tip -- I enjoyed a huge, fully-dressed, overflowing fried oyster poboy, a bowl of thick, rich seafood gumbo and an ice cold local Abita beer. I was perfectly happy enjoying that local seafood perfection all alone on an out-of-town Valentine's afternoon. And I'll be back!

Took my parents here for dinner, we're all from out of town. The restaurant was very busy but we still received excellent service from Errol and the whole crew. The food was great, every item was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We were meeting some friends at the Harbor Seafood & Oyster Bar. There was parking in front. There was also an outdoor patio, though because it was a bit over 100 degrees, we opted to eat inside. We were seated immediately. Our server, Kelly S., was there with specials and took our drink order. We ordered a mai tai and a tropical breeze to start, especially since, we were staying just down the street at the nearby La Quinta Inn. For appetizers, we decided on 1/2 dozen of the char-grilled oysters, an order of jalapeno poppers and the 1/2 blackened & 1/2 fried alligator. We also ordered fried frog legs, the orange roughy entree, a small green salad and a cup of clam chowder. Everything tasted great. Kelly S. was wonderful, personable and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

A true Cajun joint in looks, smell and taste. We had the fried oyster poboy. Nice, big oysters with a great taste. Onion rings and fried okra for appetizers. Both very good. I'm sure we will return to try out more of the dishes.
