I liked most everything about this place. It is set up in a beautiful country home with a well tended and fitting garden. It was a little rainy to explore that night but it was obviously well carded for and one could see the herbs. We had a shellfish soup starter that had a bit of bit in the light cream sauce but was a nice complement to the mussels and prawns. The main curse was a halibut toasted brown with a mustard sauce and was delicious. There are some very nice tables in a sun room off the back looking into another garden that you should request if available. Worth the drive from Lueven.

very good restaurant, maybe the choice on the menu isn't that big when you don't like to eat fish, but still, better not a large menu and bad food than a smaller card en really good food ! They also have a menu every day, really cheap and really good !

Apparently this is a very busy place. We reserved for four on a saturday evening, bcelebrating an anniversary. So we arrived before the hour, but our table wasn't ready yet. We wanted to have a drink at the bar, but at the bar we were clearly in the way of the waiters. So we waited. Our table was finally ready, we sat down and were presented the menus. The lobster and crab entrees were between 40 and 48 euros, so we expected a lot of these dishes.Waiting time was reasonable, the white wine of the house was below par. A 'Chateau Migraine', very sour, simple, straightforward land wine. "Wijn van den Aldi" as they say in Flanders. In preparation of presentation of the main dishes, the waiter simply threw the wet napkins on the table, put his fingers in a glass that was not empty, tossed our stuff aside, tossed my bread aside in a very unfriendly manner. A very rude waiter indeed. Our main dishes were very tasty, but the lack of quality of service and beverages was such that our overall experience was extremely disappointing. Compared to a 260€ check/bill, we would have expected a much better level of table service and better quality house wine.Furthermore the noise level in this restaurant is so disturbingly high that a comfortable culinary experience is impossible. The clientele in this restaurant is rather snobbish and uneducated, the prices are high, the parking is a mud pool. You are warned.

This is a pleasant enough place, reservation required and be prepared to be seated by 7pm. Its a small cosy restaurant, the menu offers a varied selection including meat even though they specialise in seafood. Service and food were both good, however we felt it was a little overpriced for what you get especially in comparison to some other restaurants locally. Overall it was a nice meal, would go back at some point but no rush!

Finally we found a real (Sicilian) Italian restaurant that doesn't alter the dishes to suit Belgian tastes.Enthousiast chef and crew, impressive winelist, menu geared towards fish an daily specials explained in detail. They buy their tuna and pesce spada wholesome: almost better than in Italy as a matter of fact.I cannot think of a better one in a radius of 50 km!
