In 1943, the city was virtually razed by British bombers, leaving few old sights, but the 18th-century Wilhelmshöhe Castle overlooking the city remains.

We were walking around the neighborhood of our hotel and stumbled across this restaurant. We sat outside on a nice summer evening and had a melon and prosciutto appetizer, penne arrabiatta, and a margahrita pizza. Nothing out of the world amazing but very good and tasty food with surprisingly large portions.

I was really looking forward to a dinner in this restaurant with a friend of mine due to all the good reviews I had read online. While the quality of shusi was OK, the service and the atmosphere were simply horrible! We had our table reserved for 6 p.m. and we did not get our food until 8 p.m. and it took them over 40 min to bring our beer! The restaurant seems to focus on take away service more than on the restaurant itself. Between 6 and 7 p.m. not less than 15 take away orders were catered for, which means - the door was closing and opening every 5 minutes; people were queing just next to the tables; the cook was busy preparing their meals and the waiters were busy taking orders over the phone and charging those who were there. Obviously there was no time to take our oders and to take care of them. We visited the restaurant on monday, I can't imagine the hell of a Friday or Saturday night. Obviously this was the first and the last visit to this place.

Good service, the food was disappointing, we ordered the fish dishes but they were overcooked. Overall the food let the restaurant down. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner at Ristorante Il Teatro, near Konigsplatz, a small wine bar. We almost panicked when the menu didnât list entrees, but my husband noticed a blackboard outside that listed dorade. Our starters were insalata caprese, a large mound of buffalo mozzarella surrounded by half cherry tomatoes on a bed of arugula -- very good! The dorade was beautiful, but over-salted, we thought, but cooked properly.

Not centrally located but definitely worth the tour. Staff was extremely attentive, and all greeted us cordially when we left. Made us feel at home! Prices most reasonable, great souvlaki and grilled fish. Very stylish food in a family owned restaurant. Too bad we only stay one day in Kassel, or else we'd go there again tomorrow.

The best food in Kassel! The restaurant is situated in an old majestic building with unique spirit across the castle and the park with centuries-old trees. The service was absolutely perfect and the selection of dishes, wine, beer and desserts was simply perfect! We enjoyed ourselves immensely
