Restaurant by the sea, we serve wonderful meals, with fresh fish, and delicious seafood! Waiting for you on the beach of Monte Gordo, to serve either a meal or just a divine cocktail!
We celebrated a birthday here tonight and had a lovely evening. The steak with 3 peppercorn sauce was superb and cook perfectly, and the monkfish and prawn skewers were delicious. The brownie dessert was extremely and yummy! The restaurant is right on the beach and the views are incredible, especially in the evening at sunset. It had a lovely atmosphere and the live music really added to it. We definitely recommend this restaurant, it was a fabulous start to the trip and really is somewhere very special. Thank youOlá Beckster_95. Obrigado pela visita. Antes de mais parabéns para o aniversiante. Obrigado também pela avaliação. We checked TA, and found this restaurant at the top of the list, and as we were in town for a special birthday, reserved a table. On a Friday February evening it turned out to be very quiet, and for our first half hour had the undivided attention of a friendly and knowledgeable waiter, and having complimented him on his excellent English, had a good chat about his career in England and on cruise ships. Later I over heard him telling a Swiss couple how he had worked in Switzerland too, so he may just have been very âsimpaticoâ, but was clearly good at his job. The restaurant is very large and nicely decorated inside with a well-stocked bar, and interesting wall art. The menu is interesting, and we shared some octopus tentacles as a starter, and they were very tender and well presented. Our main of Steak Bohéme was a bit of a disappointment as the âsteakâ (Entrecôte) on the menu was in fact a rather pale veal, and the beer sauce was rather bland. Good hand cut chips and boiled vegetables were the accompaniment, but the cauliflower had a spongy texture as if marinated in oil before steaming. A massive plate of profiteroles with cream and ice cream completed a competent dinner, and we left feeling well satisfied.Thank you very much for your kind evaluation wich allows us to track the quality of our service and food. We are pleased that it has been positive overall but we will try the maximum score possible in the next time you join us, which is our only goal.Sem Espinhas Guadiana

Great location with views of the Atlantic. Lunch was very tasty and freshly prepared - I had sardines and hubby had tuna. Great service and genuine Spanish restaurant. Something for everyone, from quick bites to proper 3 course lunches. Would definitely recommend. Hope to go back.

I had a delicious lunch and would not hesitate to return just for the restaurant food. Set in a beachside location, the food is very traditionally Spanish. Serving the very freshest caught seafood and fish, it also serves the most exquisitely cooked pork - all the tapas, side dishes were delicious. Service was helpful, leisurely and attentive. We were with locals who frequently use this restaurant and always the sign of a good eatery is whether the locals choose to eat there or not. In this case, itâs a good choice and worth a visit.

It is with reluctance that I ever criticise service. Waiting on in a restaurant is hard work and not well paid.Putting down my handbag on an empty adjacent seat, which was not about to be used, the middle-aged waiter pushed the chair ostentatiously under the table...as if to make a point.I thought I had imagined this, but later, when reaching for a handkerchief I accidentally pulled the chair out slightly and it was pushed in again. With a dour manner he served the meal, which was standard Portuguese fare and perfectly ok. I understand he is not the usual waiter and that normally the staff here are delightful. If this is the case then he does the business disservice . This area thrives on tourism. Tonight, unusually, I felt that we were an irritation. The Grand Beach Restaurant about a hundred yards further down the road has more adventurous food and charming service.

I have been visiting this restaurant for more than 8 years. My family constantly go back as we know what we will get - great fresh food, simply prepared, well cooked, smiling waitress service who cope with my pathetic attempts at speaking Spanish.

My husband and I have an apartment in Isla Canela and when we are there we always lunch here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, particularly the fresh fish and shellfish. They are simply served and not messed about with sauces and such. You feel you are eating very healthily. There is an extensive menu for anyone who does not want fish and they cater for children, too.I would recommend anyone to go here, or, if it is closed off season, the sister restaurant, La Cabra 11 is just as good.Thank you very much for visiting our Chiringuito. We are pleased to know that you have tried most of our products. We are waiting for you on your next visit.

Excellent surprise. A wonderfull "arroz a marinera": perfectly done, very tasty. The deserts are also homemade: delicious. A restaurant in the same family for 40 years, they really know how to welcome and let people fell good. To repeat for sure and take some friends!

We stopped here for lunch when looking for somewhere to eat in Isla Canela. There is a car park right outside, its next to the docks in the fishing/industrial area. From the outside it's a tiny bit unappealing but dont ket that put you off. The waitress was really lovely & spoke good English, she chatted with my 13 year old son who is learning Spanish at school. My son and husband both had swordfish which they said was very good. She recommended the catch of the day which she said was a white fish. Me and my daughter are it , it was lovely and excellently cooked. The waitress helped us to get the fish off the bones etc as we were useless! Its was really good & fresh. She recommended dessert a local dish a bit like a custard/creme brulee with just eggs and sugar which was sublime & also a local drink which was similar to ammeretto but with fresh lemon - again lovely. This is definitely worth a visit and we may pop back as I want to try the prawns !
