Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Husum. Husum (North Frisian: Hüsem) is the capital of the Kreis (district) Nordfriesland in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The town was the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Storm, who coined the epithet "the grey town by the sea". It is also the home of the annual international piano festival Raritäten der Klaviermusik (Rarities of Piano Music) founded in 1986.

Returning from a long walk on Wattenmeer we enjoyed our lunch at La Mer. Not that I would say the menu looked very French inspired (apart from fish with oil and garlic maybe?), but it was definitely sea- food they served, and they served it well. We found both the prawns and the herring very tasty (mind you: we might be biased, because we were so hungry!) and the service quite good. My overall rating "very good" is a little better than I would choose, but it comes closer to our experience than "average". Bon appetit!

The place is located in the very center of this nice small North German town. The forniture is nice, with some old cupboards, much wood paneling and so on, but some of the ornaments would need a good clean, plus some of the chairs lack the upholstery. They speak a little English. They serve good local food and beers, with a rich menu of meat (mainly pork) and fish.Service is very slow. The place is airy but the smell when you live is intense. We have been there in winter with freezing temperatures, and we were seated close not far from the door, which was very unpleasant cause every time it opened we were reached by a very cold air stream.Average prices.Nice, but there are many restaurants in Husum and I think this is not the best.

Everything is cooked while you wait, which often meant a few minutes. From fresh oysters and cooked mussels to "Fish and Chips" Loof has something for people that love fish in all its varieties. Large outside eating area, and is just off the harbour.Husum is one of our favourite towns.

Beautiful restaurant with high quality stunning food. We all had some sort of fish dishes and everything was beyond expectations, fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Also, the fish did not smell or tasted "fishy", maybe because they are fresh water fish.Service was very good and I loved the fishing net on the ceiling. If you are in the area it is highly recommended to pay a visit to treat oneself to great food. There are loads of restaurants on that pier walkway, we were very lucky to chose this one out of all of restaurants!

what a surprise, the food was not average, not just edible, but absolutely great The fish was cooked to perfection and great with the noodles. Unfortunately this restaurant is not situated in my neighbourhood, or I would come more often. The price is affordable, the service and interior very good. Will come again.

This restaurant is located nicely at the oldharbor of Husum. They serve standard dishes as expected at an average Italian restaurant in Germany. Quality and service are no more than ordinary though.

"Unsere Küche bietet Ihnen eine frische, regionale und saisonale Karte mit einem Hauch von Dolce Vita; dabei ist es uns überaus wichtig, den Kontakt mit unseren regionalen Lieferanten zu pflegen und uns persönlich von deren Arbeit und Warenqualität zu übe
After three days in this area and only finding fattening fried food we discovered Glúcklich am Meer. Tasty food and for us vegetarians some great choices. The restaurant has great atmosphere and all the girls were so friendly and helpful.

Compared to other restaurants, this was a bit on the pricy side. My husband was happy with his meal, but mine was over-salted. Waitress was friendly, efficient as to be expected.Danke für die tolle Bewertung

A special experience in Husum: dine on a large boat!Nice selection of fish / seafood, plus some standards meats and vegetarian selection. etc. Try the "Norditas", tapas-style little bites of regionally inspired seafood and veggie options. All foods we had were excellently prepared, tasty, served just right.Great atmosphere with genuine maritime decor, plus the very gentle rocking of the (moored!) boat when the tide is up. Impeccable service: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Family friendly, but also works well for couples (romance :-) ).Prices reasonable.Dear Rainer, thanks for this wonderful review! We were very happy about the "fine dining" comment and look forward to a hopeful reunion on board...All greetings from your MS Nord crew!
