Staff were friendly, but you can tell the season is almost ending! The fish soup was good, calamari starter excellent, I had the steak which was cold, undercooked and full of fat served with a peice of raw broccoli?! The price was just not worth it, went for the crab but paying $70+ was just not warranted, wish we had checked reviews first :(

Excellent cooked food and very nice assortment of mixed drinks - but expensive and plenty of good options closer to town. Good place for locals - not good if you are a tourist that has had good sushi anywhere else in the world. Sushi here was terrible - half frozen on giant blobs of rice. We NEVER leave over sushi that we ordered but we left half of our order unfinished. Go hear for good views and decent (albeit very slow) service and if you feel like a drive out of town. Avoid if you are in the mood for good sushi and have experienced good sushi elsewhere.

I had the halibut (grilled) salad. It was the best halibut I had the entire time I was in Homer. However, I found the price to be a little high for the small salad and one skewer of fish. It was quite good though. Also, the water cups were like thimbles. Not sure if that is normal, but it seemed quite strange to me.

A friend and I were traveling in the area from the lower 48 and wanted to have some good seafood. After checking reviews, proximity, and the need for advanced reservations at so many places which we did not have, we landed on the Lighthouse Seafood Grill and so glad we did. We ordered the grilled halibut special and the halibut fish and chips. The grilled halibut was AMAZING and accompanied by a rice pilaf and the most perfectly grilled asparagus. The fish and chips? The best ever. If we were in Homer longer, we would be there again. The service was delightful and the experience was as good as it comes. Donât miss this deliciousness! We are so very happy that you choose the Lighthouse Seafood Grill, and especially glad that you had a wonderful experience! This is sincerely our wish for all visitors to our lovely hamlet by the sea. May you be safe and happy throughout your travels and thank you for taking the time to write such a glowing review!

Halibut fish and chips were great! Halibut was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly.French fries were the usual fast-food frozen quality. I ordered a pint, 16oz draft beer, per the description/quantity on the menu; it was delivered to me in a 12oz glass. I have several of the EXACT same glass and same size at home - I live in Homer). When I asked my server (who was outstanding!), she asked the staff. Some guy came to our table with a metal measuring cup(s) from the kitchen and told us it was a 16oz beer glass. It was not.So, would I go back? Yes, the food is great. I would, however, order a 12oz beer knowing that the "16oz" would be served in a 12oz glass.Enjoy!

We had a very good, and enjoyable dinner here. The fish dishes were very tasty. Portions were generous. The service was very good, and the host was particularly accommodating. It is a little pricey, but not unreasonable. Prices are consistent with those at other good restaurants on the Spit. They charge $12 to split a dish, which is something we might have otherwise considered. Recommended.

The food at Little Mermaid is something you must experience while in Homer. The chef has some wonderfully creative dishes using fresh, local ingredients. My only warning is the portions are huge. Unless you can eat a lot, you might want to share.
