Visited for an impromptu lunch. Ordered the daily special of grilled plaice with new potatoes. It was as good as an dish served to me in a top restaurant. Young lady barmaid was brilliant too giving sight seeing tips and discussing the best local beers. Would definitely go back.Thank you for your review Phil! Came here on tuesday night drove all the way from colchester to try this place out after seeing it being promoted on facebook. The place is clean and fresh looking with a lovely open kitchen. Fantastic sized menu and selection. Me and my friend struggled to choose. So I had crispy squid and fish cake for start and my friend had 6 oysters and crab salad for starters. We then chose main mussels starter portion and scallops and fish pie 4 drinks. Excellent value for money clean tasting. Will be back to try the lobster and lemon sole next. As a party of four, we wanted to try a bit of everything. The helpful wait staff helped us decide what to order and were impressed by every piece we ordered. Portion size, variety and vegan options are all fantastic qualities. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious and authentic. Will definitely be visiting again.
