This restaurant loves its seafood and it shows. Excellently prepared - lots of stuff off-menu if you ask and inventive recipes that concentrate on the fish rather than any fancy sauces. Two of shared a Turbot that had been caught that morning - heaven. A little difficult to find and quite small but it is well worth the effort. You will not be disappointed whatever you chose.

If while visiting Rome you have the time and a vehicle try this little place in the Castelli. You'll love the Roman approach of the owner, but above all his wife's great recipes straight from the kitchen. Try the menu with the glasses of wine combination. Worth it.

The ambience leaves something to be desired, but Da Uccia's kitchen does not! We had an eggplant parmigiana that was second only to my mother-in-law's. My husband's mixed grill secondi was well presented and every bite delicious. My crepes of speck, provolone and zucchini were light and delicate and very tasty. We had a wonderful Syrah at the suggestion of our waiter (son of Mariuccia-- "uccia"). All in all a delightful dinner.

I went there with my boyfriend with a Groupon. When we arrived the waiter who recieved us instead of walking us to the table just pointed it and said: "that's your table". Not the best way to start. They poured the wine, and some "spumante" and pretty fast got our antipasti, that was, like some other review mentioned, a quite dissapointing, low-quality, little ammounts, way to start. While we were eating these antipasti (My mouth was literally full with food) the woman who we guessed was in charged came to take our order. (Would have it been really too much to ask to take the order before we started the antipasti or when we had just finished it???) Very rudly she asked what did we wanted, assumming that since we came with a Groupon ticket we had memorized our menu options from home. My partner asked me if I could remember the names, which of course I didn't (Being not italian make it hard for me to remember so many options), not even then she tried to be helpfull by reminding us what our choices were...Finally, when we could swallow our food we asked her what the options were, what she did feeling clearly upset (I still wonder why, Isn't it her job?).The pasta we had with funghi porcini was low average, I'm not an expert (again not italian), but my boyfriend was positive the boletus were frozen ones, while on the menu was specifically written they would be fresh..The meat course was even worse..We had read some bad reviews about that place, but all of them related to fish courses, so we decided to give a meat menu a try: BELIEVE Me YOU BETTER DON'T...the meat was bad quality, cheewy, tasteless and very bad presented. The side dish that was "patate duchesa" were hard potato pieces fried with some rosemary herbs...The dish where served was hot, really hot, but the potatoes were cold inside and disgusting...The dessert was the best of the menu, but considering what I wrote is saying very little about it. We had an average Tiramisu and a mousse of Fruitti del bosco...One could think that the fact of bothering a client while eating to ask them what they wanna order could be in order to provide a better service, and have the food ready, so the customer doesn't have to wait from course to course...not the case...The service was really poor, and we had to wait a big ammount of time from course to course..I will not detail their unprofessionality but as a sample I would say some waiter left the kitchen smoking...In conclusion: we paid 20⬠per person for a very bad quality food and an even worse service... I wondered exactly the same thing the other "terrible review" asked herself: is this is what you have to offer, I really don't wanna imagine you organizing and catering a wedding banquet....PS: the bread was hard and dry...

Small trattoria bit outside of the historic center of Frascati. Visited the Restaurant on a saturday Evening and found it completely full and buzzing with locals. The lovely host cleaned up the Next available table swiftly and even compensated us for a short waiting period with free prosecco. Host speaks Some English so in combination with my poor Italian we managed easily to order- and had fun doing it. Food was fresh, solid "Cucina Casalinga". Nothing fancy but cooked with passion and love for food. House white wine represented the area, simple, crisp unpretentious. Prices are moderate and represent a good value for what you get. Would go there again and recommend the place. Had vongole/ cozze combination, Shrimps (which actually Where crayfish) catalana, tuna, sea bass, peach tiramisu, Panna cotta.

My husband and I ate here for lunch on a recommendation from our hotel. It was Friday, seafood day. We were warmly greeted and and had wonderful service. The very nice waiter suggested a few things to try and they were all delicious. We wanted a fish for our second course but did not know which one so they brought us over to the case to look and pick the one we wanted. Our waiter filleted it tableside and it tasted amazing. They told us it was in the water a few hours beforehand. Their tiramisu is out of this world. They do not soak the cookies beforehand, so they are crunchy and it was a stand out. We enjoyed lunch so much we made reservations for the next evening. It was a good thing too because we saw them turn many people without reservations away. At dinner it was packed with locals, many of whom were celebrating a special occasion. Our dinners were equally as delicious as lunch.
