Hidden in a small village, suburbs of Ljubljana the restaurant offers wonderful Slovenian national dishes. There is a decent parking lot. The atmosphere is homely and warm. Food was very good, in particular the beef soup with noodles and pumpkin soup, and pork roast served with the best roasted young potatoes ever and fried chicken. For a welcome, there was a glass of plum brandy with a plum inside. The house wines, bottled specially for Kovac were very good. The only small disappointment was the dessert, two pieces of strudel one with cheese and other with apples. The one with cheese was very dry and overbaked while the apple one could do with some more apples.

Big restaurant with wide choice of different food. Massive portions (a plate for two persons feeds three serious eaters). Not a Michelin starsâ material, but good for quick meal or pizzas. Indoor and outdoor playgrounds for children and very helpful staff. Far from city centre.

I visited Ljubljana downtown to have family dinner by the river and I found peti 181 from TripAdvisor and went there. It was a pretty restaurant, and has outdoor seating. We kindly asked the table with a view to the waiter lady (blonde around 30-35 years old) She told us it is reserved. We said ok and try to sit another table at the back. The waiter told us they were also reserved. They have more than 10 tables outside and except one , nothing was occupied. She was not telling us the truth. Then we asked a table inside and she suddenly she got angry and told us we are working with reservations I couldnât accept you to restaurant, we have no free tables. We said ok and get out of the restaurant. It was so obvious that she didnât accept us because of our 1 year old baby. When we get out of the restaurant I called them, and asked a 4 people outside table immediately . They replied me âTHEY HAVE FREE TABLE OUTSIDE FOR SURE IMMEDIATELYâ and arranged me an outside table. Of course I did not show up, shame on them... really sorry about them because they apply child discrimination. We had a diner just across the river at SLOVENSKA HISA that was fantastic and also they treated to my baby as a prince. Thanks to them.

Place is quite small, but staff is nice and professional. Food is quite good, but prices are, compare to the same food in Vienna at least 40% higher. Sushi is good, sup could be better, I try Bento box.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Started with langoustine in tempura preceeded by an amuse bouche of tomato topped with chopped black olives. Both delicious. For our main we chose grilled monkfish with grilled vegetables. This was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. Good service and wine.

The name really says it all here: wine and fish! Best described as a gourmet (not only) takeaway seafood joint, the menu consists entirely of sardines, picarels and calamari, which are either fried or grilled (in a Green Egg) and served up piping hot, whi

The Spajza is situated slightly outside the tourist zone in a quiet side street well nestled between typical old buildings. The restaurant is really inviting while the backyard garden is an absolute highlight. The menu is diverse and well sorted with all kinds of local specialities. The seafood is very recommendable, the wine list is versatile and leaves nothing to be desired.A big compliment to the service staff who have been friendly, helpful and professional. All in all a wonderful restaurant with excellent local cuisine and a great ambience - absolutely recommendable!

Modern design, very nice interior, knowledgeable and high class waiting staff and very good food are main characteristics of this restaurant. Only down side is its location, away from city center, so use of taxi is recommended (unless you have a car at disposal). During the rush hour you can get stuck in a traffic jam. But since Ljubljana is a small town, this could take you away some 15-20 minutes, no more. Once you are in the restaurant, I am positively sure you will love it. Cuisine is on the modern side and very tasty. I had a fish and it was very nice.
