Since 1991, Harbor House Seafood & Steak has been serving the Tri-Cities with Calabash style seafood, chicken, and steak.
Ate at Harbor House in Johnson City on Fri 03/22/2019 at 5pm. This is not fine dining, but food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Value and food quality were considerations in our rating. Cost:before tip $ 35.80. Senior discounts (10%) are available, but they do not serve alcohol (bummer). Portion size was perfect for us (average to smallish), and each item was perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. It's a pretty large place that was less than 50% full when we got there but had a waiting list when we left. Overall experience was very good and we hope to return again.Details:ACCESS: Just off main road. Can't miss viewable sign from highwayDECOR: Seafood house - fish on walls. Came here on a whim after another place didnât work out. Amazing brunch! Really good variety and fun use of seafood for brunch (thereâs also non-seafood options so no worries). Mimosas and bloody Maryâs were great too. Lots of food and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Welcome to The Chop House restaurants, where we strive to provide each guest with friendly service in an inviting environment. Our service and our food is guaranteed! Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House h
I visited the Chop House in Lexington a long time ago, and didn't find it that great, but after my visit on a road trip to this one in Kingsport, I am going to give my local one another shot. There don't seem to be a huge amount of choices for places to eat in Kingsport, so if you are looking for the best place in town...this is probably the place. I couldn't believe that they were almost fully packed on a Monday night. I was traveling alone so went and sat at the bar. It is a very dimly lit place (for atmosphere), so if you have trouble seeing, you may need to use a light on your phone.Charlie the bartender was so nice, at the end, he shook my hand...and I really liked that. Too many people today don't know how to give a good handshake or are afraid to give a handshake to a woman. It was a welcome gesture goodbye! Anyway, other than that, he was friendly without being pushy and is an excellent host.I had the small filet, mashed potatoes and burgundy mushrooms. I tend to like my food a bit over-seasoned, but nothing was needed, except I did add some pepper to my potatoes. No salt at all needed, and my steak was cooked perfectly. It was an enjoyable experience and it has inspired me to go back and try my local Chop House! We are so glad you had a favorable dining experience at The Chop House! Thank you for your loyalty. If there is ever anything we can do to ensure you have a 5-star dining experience, don't hesitate to ask.

My husband and I went for a late lunch. It had been years since we had been and we absolutely loved it. The food was wonderful and plentiful. We ordered the fried rice patties for an appetizer and my husband ordered the bento box and I got the orange chicken. The prices were great and the service was top notch! We will definitely be back!!

Had lunch there for the first time. My partner had the small fried catfish platter with french fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. He liked everything, would get it again, and we both agreed the portion on the catfish was large enough for us to share. I tasted his catfish and would order it next time. I had the small fried oyster with baked potato, slaw and hushpuppies. While the fired oysters were OK. I wouldn't order that again. The oyster pieces were too small to have a tender inside so they were a little chewy. The baked potato was a little hard. Slaw and hush puppies were excellent. The restaurant was packed with a primarily over 50 clientele. I would definitely eat here again, but I think it's a restaurant where you find what they cook well that you like and order that. There were large portions on everything but the cole slaw which comes in a small cup.

We proudly serve the best fresh seafood and cajun/ creole specialties in the area. We do not serve alcohol, but brown-bagging is permitted (BYOB)
I was so happy to find this place. They have amazing food and the owner is super nice. This is absolutely a place you will want to stop if youâre a fan of creole food. The staff was very attentive and the owner came out to ask how everything was tasting. Donât pass this place up.
