A historic building along the Erie Canal has been transformed into The Dockside Bar and Grill, a casual-dining restaurant near the Gateway Harbor area of North Tonawanda. Built in 1890, the site was once used by the New York State Canal Authority to unloa
After a 45 minute wait in the bar, not too bad though as we were having drinks, we were seated on the patio :) unfortunately, before we were finished with dinner, and before dessert, we were asked to leave... Apparently there is a time limit on the patio? That's silly and very disappointing. I can only think that we were only a party off two and the $ for a larger party at our table would have been better for the business? Perhaps that also explains our server, Shelby's bad attitude. SMH, where died customer service go?
don't ask them to do something different - the waiter was rude - not accomodating. Food was pretty good - service could have been much better

very, very quietly, this lovely little shoreside shack has reopened for the season, dishing out terrific seafood dishes (lobster roll, in particular) as well as clams, hot dogs, hamburgs, daily specials in a marvelous waterborne ambience, many people coming up from their boats to join the party... open daily through Labor Day or perhaps beyond, BYOwn spirits, too, everything is outdoors...

The Bakery is a very nice local restaurant/lounge that serves above average quality food. It misses out from being exceptional for by poor waitress training, and an archaic POS system. For starter, they serve sourdough bread with these stupid plastic butter containers. I donât know why they donât serve the bread with a small ramekin of some sort of spread. Its cheaper and one can alternate the spreads daily- that s what chefts do! I ordered salad with dressing on the side, it arrived loaded with dressing, which I donât like. I ordered a nightly special, 2- 4oz filets topped with shrimp in a sea food sauce, Since I was sharing it with my wife, I had to order an extra plate, but the waitress brought me a saucer to divide the large platter. The filet was actually quite good and properly cooked, as was the potato but they threw some steamed broccoli, none of which were seasoned. Although we enjoyed the meal, the piece de resistance was when I had to pay. I gave them my debit card and was told to go to the bar to enter my PIN , When at the bar I had to go behind the bar and wait in line for my ticket which took stupid time since there were many other servers also waiting for their payment . Who ever this guy was, he was flooded with orders and too busy to look after ânormalâ business. I cannot recall every going to restaurant where I had to creep behind the bar to pay. This is not the 90âs, its pure cheapness, never mind wireless POS how about a long extension cord so I can work on the bar top?Hello Stuart, Thank you for your review and Three Star Rating.A small plate to share your dinner was not proper.A large plate was brought to your table and used by your wife.

I only had a burger and onion rings when I was here last week but they were delicious. On the burger: Fried onions, mayo and lettuce, just like I ordered. The fish fry and chicken parm that was delivered to the table next to me looked delicious too!
