Ambrosia The Food of the Gods!
This excellent restaurant/taverna has been around for years, and never disappoints. The seafood dishes are fresh from the Med and extremely well prepared. Plus, the local traditional Cretan dishes are among the finest I've ever tasted. Niko, the host, welcomes you with a truly warm greeting and the service is fast, friendly and efficient.

The best view in the area A very helpfull service Amazing tastes of food I bet you gonna love it!
Having read other reviews I can honestly say we had a lovely couple of meals here. It was fresh, hot and reasonably priced - would recommend the moussaka. The seating area upstairs gives good views over the bay.The staff are helpful, accommodating and keep everywhere clean/tidy.

Amazing great food and service. Family loved it would definitely go back and have more of there food
Considering that trip was made at the end of November when the high tourist season is over, we were quite appreciative of the full menu and personal attention given by the owner, Kostas Zaharioudakis, who in conjunction with his wife give a great welcome to their restaurant. His wife does an amazing job cooking all the food served at the restaurant, dishes that have quite the range of options. During our visit we sampled some traditional Greek dishes such as Dolmades and Saganaki - pardon the spelling if it is not correct. We also had the freshest fish I have had in a long, long time as it was a local fish same that was fished earlier during the morning. The restaurant itself if quite large but you still feel as if you were in Kostas house, casual dinning, conversations and the locals coming in for dinner made this experience worth sharing it with all that look at my comments. High season, low season the tavern is a place worth visiting. If you are like me and visit popular places during the offseason Kostas and his wife will welcome you with the same care and attention as if you visited during the high season. This is a place worth visiting. If your travels take you to Crete, please make sure you pay them a visit. It will be one of your highlights of your trip.
