Things to do in Geraldton
Latitude Direct is a local supplier of wild caught Australian seafood. Most of our product is frozen. We get fresh fish in store whenever possible. Fresh cooked prawns are available everyday, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
This is an excellent place for local seafood - we stocked up on prawns and lobsters (over the top - one each, for dinner and had leftovers for lobster rolls), also bought a magnificent seafood chowder which, as suggested, we mixed through pasta for a wonderful meal. So if you have some facilities somewhere to eat, stock up here. Business is open 8 to 5 Mon to Fri and 10 to 1 on Saturdays. Located on Fishermen's Wharf.

In past years, we've really enjoyed Hooks' seafood. Our recent visit was no exception. We'd hoped for Pink Snapper, Bronzie or Dhufish, but these weren't on offer. We settled for Shark Bay Whiting instead.Good choice... delightful in fact... two pieces each... and the chips were cooked to perfection. Were the spuds really from Holland? Maybe they were so good because they were fried in Rice Bran Oil(?) Cap'n Hook certainly knows his fish. We enjoyed a great chat about the local species and history of fishing in the midwest.

Located at the scenic Geraldton fishermens wharf. Seating available inside and outside. Extensive menu featuring locally caught Western Rock Lobster.
If I hadn't eaten so much delicious snapper elsewhere the past few weeks I might have rated it higher. The snapper was fine but a bit mushy, rather than flakey. The batter was quite oily and nothing special. The chips were ok. The hamburger was pre-made and sitting in the warmer window, salad and all, and again, was just ok. The picture is a 'full serve' of snapper and chips.

Everytime I've gotten fish and chips from here I've been disappointed. I'm not a regular buyer so maybe its just luck of the draw. Tonights fish was overdry, small and the horrible brown/black stuff. not a fan of strong fish let alone that stuff. A waste of money at $10 a piece, cats and dog shared.

Premier dining and socialising experience with amazing views of the Geraldton CBD, Harbour and Marina precincts. We specialise in seafood, steaks and other Australian dishes using local and Western Australian produce with tantalising cultural influences.
We didn't find this restaurant until our last day in Geraldton as it isn't advertised in many of the brochures including the main Geraldton Visitors Guide, the Geraldton Food Trail or the Food and Wine trail. Don't miss it! I should have looked at Trip Advisor earlier! The food was delicious, we had barramundi and kingfish - perfectly good, and the gluten free options were varied, and the sweet potato "fries" were fabulous - they were baked and big and yummy! The service was excellent, the people lovely and the view as good as you can get in Geraldton. We sat on the balcony watching the harbour lights. On top of this it had a great vibe and energetic atmosphere - something we didn't come across elsewhere, complete with a piano player in the background. We'd have gone more than once had we known!Appreciate your comments it will give us some follow up. Glad we got to see you at least once. Travel safe.

Quality fish and chips. Take away only
Since leaving Qld 8 weeks ago, we have craved a good feed of fresh fish and chips - all down the nthn NSW coast, Adelaide beaches, Eyre Peninsular, sthn WA coast, then Geralton. GONE FISHING for F&C delivered the goods. Beautifully crumbed snapper (not oily battered flake) and hand cut chips cooked to perfaction. The shop doesnt look much from the outside, but absolutely spotless, run on the night we were there, by two cheerful ladies.Well done!!

Visited for a special meal and ended up slightly disappointed. The view was wonderful, the service was good the food was okay but expensive. In particular the oysters were flat and tasteless - probably frozen, which is a crime in a place like Geraldton. Thank you for your review. Geraldton doesn't have local fresh oysters unfortunately, we can get them in FRESH from South Australia once a week but they only have a few days shelf life on them if that, then we would be unavailable the rest of the week until next weeks delivery. So alternately all local restaurant sell frozen oysters, I will look into the current quality of the oysters as that differs with the seasons so thank you for your feedback.

I have been visiting this restaurant every year for 6 years and have always found the food to be wonderful, However, this year it was all just spicy hot with no variation from mild to hot. My daughter loves chicken korma. This should be delicious and mild but it was extremely spicy. We returned it and they did another one that was just as spicy....she couldn't eat it so we gave up and bought her McDonalds on the way home.If you love hot, spicy indian food, you will love this place. Don't order anything indian for children though, order the fish and chips for them. We were disappointed.
