Welcome to the Skyliner, we are a family run restaurant and takeaway in our 56th year. We pride ourselves in providing top quality fish & chips sourcing the best products available daily. We offer a Gluten Free menu too, including our famous fish & chips.

I took my mum who is 95 for a Sunday lunch to the Skyliner , we decided to sample some of the wonderful selection of gins on offer whilst we were there , I can recommend the Seville orange and rhubarb and ginger , both beautifully served with raspberries and blueberries and citrus fruits and fever tree tonic , the presentation was far better than many cocktail bars.After a couple of drinks we chose to from the âtapasâ menu which is available everyday.We decided on the prawn cocktails, scampi, mushrooms, beer battered onion rings and Thai fish cake , all beautifully presented in true âtapas â style , we enjoyed everything , and complemented the dishes with a bottle of cold Prosecco .The staff made the occasion special too , thanks to Victor , Elliie and Ella and Danny for perfectly cooked tapas.We finished our meal with a Smoosh , made by Ella , I could have drunk a dozen !!! Definitely a must have especially the chocolate ones Thereâs no need to travel into Leeds centre for a special âoccasion â meals or any lunch or dinner when this restaurant has everything you could want , like the title of my review âcouldnât ask for moreâ !!!Also there is a beautiful poppy mural on the window in honour of remembrance,Thank you so much for your lovely review. We already know we have a fabulous team, but itâs really nice to hear when our amazing customers see it too. Weâre over the moon you enjoyed your afternoon with us and that you say your food so good. I always call this "The Crusader" chippy, originally because it's situated near The Crusader pub (which is, in itself, a nice place to while away the afternoon), now probably more because, with the amount of traffic & roadworks you must navigate round Garforth to get there, you feel as though you've been to Jerusalem and back when you arrive home with the booty.Worth it, however.I had a really nice cheeseburger and chips, and had a sausage thrown in for good measure; and very good it all was, too.Daughter had fish & chips with curry sauce which she polished off with vigour.The staff are friendly and the premises clean and tidy.Well worth a visit!

Oceanâs was becoming a regular port of call but it took a hit on this visit. The Haddock and chips were as good as ever, the dessert were a little disappointing, I had extra custard but have to say there wasnât that much, but food wise it was still very good. £51 for three including drinks good value. What let it down was the service. Not sure what was going on in the back room but it was an effort to get them out to serve. I had to get up twice to ask them to come to the table, this in a restaurant where for most of the time we three were the only occupantsIf this happens again it will be off the list for sure.

4. The fish shop, kippax

We have three fish and chip shops in kippax , I will only ever go to this one , its the best by far. All fish are cooked fresh on entering the shop , all staff are very poilite , the food is alway lovely and the fish are big too . The shop is clean and the decore is very up market . I would give this fish shop ten out of ten , well done to all that work there .
