This restaurant was advised to us by the owner of the hotel sailors bay. and we really liked it for all the time spent in Sri Lanka, we did not meet the best restaurant. always fresh seafood combined with great sauces. The prices are better than on the beach, and the staff is heartfelt. You can also play checkers or other games while waiting for an order. the owner of the restaurant is a very good person, always friendly, will help with the choice and fulfill your wish for cooking

Our chef-owner had 13 years experience as a chef in Europe. He found his passion with seafood cooking then came back to Srilanka to open Elita seafood restaurant, which become one of the most reputable restaurant in Galle for more than six years. âElita i
We arrived late in Galle Fort after a long drive from Ella via Udawalawe National Park and needed a feed. We stumbled across Elita and it was probably the best dinner we had in Galle Fort. Prices were on the very slightly higher end but after getting our plates we saw why. I had a whole snapper in a yellow coconut curry which was cooked perfectly and my husband had the grilled Prawns which looked more lobsters they were so big!Excellent meal and nice friendly staff. Dear Sir/MadamWe greatly appreciate your review. We always serve big portions with catch-of-the-day fresh seafood. And we are so happy to hear that you had been satisfied with your meal in Elita. Thank you so much again and wish you a good stay in Galle!

The Fort Printers offers a fresh and vibrant menu that uses predominantly fresh seafood and organic local produce. The chiefs plan the menu for the day based on guestsâ preferences, and lovingly create soups, mezzes, and mains comprising grilled fresh sea
To say we enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Fort Printers would be such a massive understatement; a few words cannot describe the pleasure! The exquisitely prepared breakfasts (Sri Lankan every time!); the beautifully appointed room with such attention to detail; dinners (jumbo prawns topped the taste buds!); the pool... But what really made the difference were the staff, including housekeeping and wait staff who were attentive & accommodating but never overbearing. For front of house staff, nothing was too much trouble for Madhu & Petar. Heartening to see female staff visible & excelling in prominent positions.

When you are offered the chance to dine under the stars in a garden from a seafood BBQ with attentive waiters, exquisite wines and live romantic music from a couple of accomplished troubadours and not pay west end of London prices who is going to decline? Not us for sure!! It was fun to watch the passing tourists who were jiggling to the music but unable/unwilling to come in. I have never seen such gigantic prawns-10 inches head to tail as a minimum - grilled to perfection by a chef who really appreciates the attention of his customers and the permanent presence of the proud owner who makes you feel as though you are his friends from years back. This is a definite keeper and I just wish that we had discovered it earlier having paid 3x for a lesser meal on the previous evening in our hotel.

We ate here on our first day in country, and were amazed at how delicious the food was. Everything was great, but the calamari was astounding! We thought that all the food in this wonderful country would be this good, but a week later we still havenât had anything nearly as good. This place is a bit tricky to find. As the name implies, itâs at the top of a flight of stairs. Itâs open air, and has a Pirates of the Caribbean feel to it. If youâre in Fort Galle near the light house, be sure to give it a try!

We did not stay at this lovely property but ate in it 3 nights out of 7! Food was wonderful, beside the sea with turtles popping their heads up a few metres away in the waves. Great, friendly staff and freshly prepared food. Also one of the fab swings that goes over the sea is part of the property.
