I have been going regularly to La Petite for over 30 years! Their food has consistently been excellent and continues to get better with age! Wayne the bartender makes an awesome Espresso Martini! The wine selection is good and the food that changes with the seasons always delights the palette!

Olde Towne Steak and Seafood has been in business for 36 years and has consistently offered superior steak, seafood, cocktails and atmosphere. A true localsâ spot, Olde Towne offers a famously excellent prime rib and fine dining experience.
Expectations are high. The interior is very nice; the prices are high; the portions are generous, but everything is so bland and the details are just ignored. The bread is good. Hot, but not hot enough to melt the ice-cold butter. The salad could not be more boring and the homemade blue cheese dressing was missing blue cheese as far as my husband and I could tell (âCan you taste any blue cheese?â âNo.â âMe neither.â). I had Norfolk Shrimp which is supposed to be jumbo shrimp with a lemon butter sauce. It is plenty of jumbo shrimp with the tails on (I HATE having to peel my own shrimp at the table) broiled in unsalted butter with a wedge of lemon broiled along side - thatâs it. Nothing special at all. The creamed spinach side has plenty of garlic, but no cream. Also, nothing special. Husbandâs 14oz Delmonico was flavorless. Sizzling hot, but not a glimmer of seasoning. Baked potato is actually steamed because itâs cooked (and served) in an aluminum foil wrapper. No flavor. A tiny dollop of sour cream and some of that ice cold butter. Totally underwhelming and way over priced. We expected something special - it wasnât.

We traveled specifically to Fredericksburg to have our 30th wedding anniversary dinner here at The Confident Rabbit. We were so happy we did. They immediately brought us champagne to acknowledge our celebration. The meal was delicious. I cannot highly enough recommend this beautiful gem of a restaurant .

We stopped in Fredericksburg on our way down Rt 95 heading home from DC. We read some interesting reviews on our phone of The Happy Clam and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately the food and ambience was not as interesting as the review writers' notes suggested. The crab dip came highly recommended and it was not bad, nor was it great - very cheesy and came with 2 small loaves of white bread. Maybe some melba toast would have worked better. Then came the acclaimed oyster stew. Yes, this stew was that of the same ilk that mom used to make, except mom's had more taste and more oysters. Not sure why the taste wasn't there, it looked good enough. After downing the 5 oysters I had to quit as the buttery milk was too much for mid day. The small mixed green salad turned out to be the best item of the day, unfortunately they were out of bleu cheese dressing .... Aha, but the Stella on draft yes, did save the day. My partner got the crab cake sandwich, which was very full of crab, came on a toasted & buttered bun ... just butter, nothing else. With fries and coleslaw (yes, just like mom used to make) the $17 lunch seemed a bit steep but understandable maybe with the amount of crab used. Too bad there wasn't some nice accoutrements added to that butter-bun though. Including the Nascar blasting, and the gray walls all in all the experience at The Happy Clam was neither bad, nor good.

Ate dinner on a Monday evening. No reservation needed. Plenty of parking available. Server was pleasant and prompt. Menu prices were reasonable. Lots of seafood available. Same steady and reliable good food found at other Bonefish locations. Premises kept clean and in good condition.

Just overnight in Fredericksburg heading home to New Jersey. We wanted to eat in a good seafood restaurant. I checked Trip Advisor for recommendations and reviews. Fish N Grill was top rated. It was not near our hotel - had to back track south a couple exits on 95 but well worth it. Excellent seafood. Service was exceptional also.

Last weekend members of our party had the DelMonico Ribeye, Hangar Steak, and the Strip Steak - and in sharing, we could not decide which meat was best. Their homemade marinade dry-rub was very tasty (especially if you like seasoned with salt.) The side dishes of black-eyed peas and squash were also excellent. Only minor disappointment was that a Cauliflower Steak advertised on their on-line menu was not being served at time of visit - disappointing for a vegan guest. Staff was friendly and efficient. Prices were not cheap (even coming from New York) - but thought it was an excellent value for the quality and taste of the steaks.
