Reviews on Seafood food in Folly Beach, South Carolina, United States. A barrier island where you can see loggerhead turtles nesting, dolphins playing and bald eagles soaring in the sky, Folly Beach offers a kick-off-your-shoes beach lifestyle where the livin’ is easy and the fish always seem to be biting. All of the beaches on Folly Island are superb, but, arguably the Folly Beach County Park, at the island’s west end, is perhaps the best with amenities like 2,500 feet of ocean frontage, picnic areas and boogie board, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals available between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
“Drop a line” is a common local saying and for good reason. Anglers can select from surf fishing, river fishing, pier fishing and deep-sea fishing. Head to the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, which is 24 feet wide extending more then 1,045 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, making it perfect for fishing, strolling and bird and dolphin watching. For adventurous types, you can kayak around Folly Beach and James Island, jet ski, parasail or ride a bicycle along Folly’s six mile of beachfront.

Come for the food, stay for the view. Indulge in our fresh seafood, sushi, burgers, kids menu and more. Grab hold of a frozen cocktails, beer, or shareable fishbowl with live music on the rooftop.
We were seated on the covered outdoor patio; no one came to our table for fifteen minutes. We then decided to we would head inside to the bar for better service, which was correct. I asked the bartender what her favorite beverage was; she suggested sex on the folly, which was delicious! Iâm glad we decided to sit at the bar otherwise, service would have been slow. We got the raw oysters & crabby bucket, which was tasty. It took awhile for the food to come out but it was worth it. Weâll definitely be back but weâll sit at the the bar next time to make sure we have good service.

Neighborhood beach bar with fresh cocktails and tasty food. Nightly specials as well as Happy Hour!
So glad this place opened! Definitely one of our regular go to restaurants. We've been about a dozen times. Some of my favorite mixed drinks ever. Food is always very good and very fresh. We love the open air concept. The set up is a bit weird about ordering food if you aren't sitting at the bar, but the rest is great. Staff has always been great. We love going for an evening boat ride, then walking to Lowlife for drinks and food after.

Visited today with my family. Ordered the grouper special and share with my husband. It was excellent. My son ordered the Locklear Filet. Super tender meat! Beautiful views of the marsh along with great service. Lauren was our waitress and she was very sweet.

Stop by the Washout after a beach day on Folly! Our delicious and affordable menu is served up in a casual atmosphere that's just a quick walk from the beach. We have TVs for watching the latest sports games, as well as live music throughout the week. Tak
While the service was fine, there was duo singing on guitars and they had the speaker volume so loud we had to yell to hear each other. My husband used Shazam to determine the names of common songs and it was so distorted Shazam either had the name wrong or couldnât figure it out. I found the spinach and artichoke dip. There was very little spinach and I donât recall any artichoke. Only flavor was a sort of cream. Bla. It was served with untoasted pita bread. I was surprised to see my husbands Guinness served with the cannon the glass! My sister liked her shrimpThank you for your review Lisa. I'm sorry to hear that you felt the music was too loud on our patio. We offer seating inside (away from the music) for those that don't like to be too close to the music. We're glad your sister enjoyed the shrimp and that your husband enjoyed his Guinness in the canon glass. Hope to see you back again. We'll be happy to recommend some our local favorite dishes.

Few restaurants in Charleston offer oceanfront dining. None offer the unique experience you'll find at BLU. Set alongside the beach at the Tides Folly Beach, BLU combines indoor and outdoor seating featuring an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean from almo
The dinners enjoyed at the restaurant in the Tides Hotel were delicious and made more so by the gorgeous ocean view. Grilled shrimp on Avocado Toast will bring (HAPPY) tears to your eyes. The cocktails were delightful. Key Lime pie, too. TRAVIS, OUR WAITER both nights, was entertaining, cheerful and helpful. Run, don't walk, to BLU at THE TIDES IN FOLLY BEACH, S.C.

Pier 101 Restaurant & Bar is located at 101 East Arctic Avenue on Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier on Folly Beach, South Carolina. Offering beachfront dining with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Pier 101 serves classically inspired American and Souther
Sunday evening dinner went real well. There was no wait and decided to dine inside as we all were not dressed for the cool breeze on the outside dining area. I will say though, the outside area would have provided a nice night time view of the pier and ocean as the moon was full. The grouper bites were delicious and the drinks - The Folly Vice and the Kokomo were also quite a treat. I would recommend giving this place a try.

Casual beach restaurant, open at 11am Mon-Fri and Brunch on Sat & Sun, starting at 8am. Chef Billy makes the most delicious burgers, sandwiches, salads and fresh catch daily specials. Indoor and outdoor seating. Live music. Come straight from bed or the b
First, great opportunity to sit outside and enjoy some great tunes on a Friday night. Great drink list, and Rita's was hopping as evidenced by 30+ minute wait. Sat and had some drinks which was just fine. The menu seemed strong, and looked forward to the meal. I had the barbecue with the fries and cole slaw. First the good stuff: the fries were scalding hot, and quite tasty, almost as if they were double cooked (in a good way mind you). High marks on the fries. The barbecue was just ok, and I hate to say that as I love barbecue and order it every opportunity. That being said, it was a good night, and next time I'd just shy away from the barbeque and find something else on the menu. But outdoor seating, music and wait staff were great.

Southern Living Magazine named the Charleston Crab Shack "One of the 10 Best Seafood Spots in South Carolina." With overflowing buckets of fresh seafood, great BBQ, daily specials and a rockin' happy hour, it's a good old elbows-on-the-table family feast.
In terms of food, we enjoyed a great meal everything you would expect from the other reviews. It was a very hot day, but we expect an air-conditioned restaurant to be at least moderately cooler. The Shack was unbearably hot. We had children with us and they melted down.Thank you for letting me know about your visit. Popped over to the Loggerhead while hanging on the beach. Cool spot, service was great, and the cheesesteak was delicious. Frozen drinks were awesome too. Great spot even if it is owned by a Philadelphia Eagles fan. ;-). Small price to pay for an awesome cheesesteak.
