Excellent all round. We had the crab platter which was advertised for 1-2 people. Definitely big enough for 2 hungry people! Good quality seafood. Great atmosphere and really excellent service. Booking is advised. We will definitely return.Thank you xx Yes our platters are definitely a popular menu choice and pleased you enjoyed your visit xx

A delightful evening for my partner's birthday. The chef/patron, Colin, is a very enthusiastic host and an excellent chefThe baked crab starter was super and I should have ordered the starter portion of moules instead of the main course - struggled manfully on until the bowl was almost empty.
A great find having been recommended by my B&B hosts. Friendly owners clean looking premises & really great fish & chips. Take away mainly. Fresh & tasty, big portions & a great find! Reasonable prices.Owners seem really accommodating as one lady asked for her fish to be grilled which they obliged her.

We aim to provide quality, service and value from our Grade 2 listed Restaurant and Take-away in Fakenham. We sell traditionally cooked Fish & Chips 7 days a week.
We brought our son and grandson here for a fish supper after a long hot day out. We were surprised that it was open on Sunday. This was news to us but I am aware that it appears to have changed owners as I didn't recognise most of the staff. It seemed busy and we were informed that it would be 10 mins before we would be served. We actually got our food over 30 mins from sitting down, then one of the orders was wrong, we then had a five minute wait for our sides to arrive and another 5 mins before the drinks, again one wrong, arrived. By this time the queue was out of the door and down the street. The quality of the food was comparable to previous visits but the service wasn't. It appeared, I may be wrong, that there were only three working behind the counter plus one serving tables. My point really is that it would appear that you open on a Sunday because it is profitable, so make sure you have enough staff to serve your customers. So be prepared for a very long wait for your food if you go at a busy timeHello Jim,I understand you visit us regularly from your many reviews. The Sunday you refer to was August bank holiday weekend and yes we was VERY busy which you rightly state in your review, you was informed of a wait which you obviously accepted so why then feel the need to complain out it? The shop hasnât changed hands simply some partners have left, the staff have largely unchanged for over 10 years, but thanks for noticing! I suppose I must apologise for your extended wait and shall take on board the need for a small army of staff next bank holiday. On the upside Iâm glad you enjoyed your food.
