Reviews on Seafood food in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Essen began in the mid-9th century as home to a women's abbey, then during the Renaissance became an important coal mining town and later a major steel production center. The famed metal-working Krupp family opened their first foundry here in 1810. One of Essen's most interesting places is the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, once the largest colliery in the world. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it attracts 800,000 visitors a year, often hosting art exhibitions and performances.

The one and only real french Brasserie in Essen, Northrhine Westfalia. Established end of 2017. Classical french cuisine & wine, served by a young, ambitious team.
Enjoyed our lunch here (note: Closed on Mondays) with great choices and a very nice presentation. Kitchen is open to prepare "modified" menus, e.g. we combined a grilled chicken with a salad choice. Friendly and attentive staff, easy parking in (spacey) garage across Huyssenallee. This would not be our first choice if you are looking for hearty German cuisine. Will return.Dear Mr "tvonruex",we are more than pleased that you did appreciate your stay in our Brasserie. Please note that we are closed on Sundays as well.By the way: we are a bit confused that our Brasserie is not your first choice during looking for a hearty German cuisine....certainly, because we are French Brasserie! We are looking forward to see you again, maybe the next time with 100% satisfaction (4 of 5 points)!Your Paul`s team

We are not sushi experts but we are getting into it, mainly because it's healthy and you don't feel too guilty about it. We found Noori an interesting concept: instead of the usual sushi belt, you order on a tablet, a max of 5 dishes pp for a max of 10 rounds + drinks. Most of the dishes are included in the buffet price (25,90 Euro on weekends), a couple of specials and the drinks are not. We managed 3 rounds (not all of them with 5 dishes), and I think that was quite average. Again, we are not specialists, but we found the food very fresh and tasty, service super-quick and friendly, and we had a very good night. Do not hesitate ordering the rolls which say 'waiting time 10-20min', as they still come very quickly and they are the best. Prawns sticks and pak choi are also delicious. The spicy tuna temaki are properly spicy! It's not a cheap treat but we would definitely come back.

Eat at your friends home. The warm welcome, a glass of prosecco, bread. Franco then proposes a menu. Fresh, light and refined matching products with unrivaled Italian taste. Homemade pasta, fresh fish and butter soft lamb. In addition, he advises perfect fitting and great tasting wines. An unforgettable evening.

Fine Secolo is the most popular Italian restaurant by locals in this area. With friends or families you go to Michele and eat some of the wonderful dishes on offer. Very friendly service, authentic atmosphere and always crowded. So don t forget to make a reservation!

I have been to Arabesque several times, and I am always left impressed. They offer top quality cuisines and variety is impressive. They offer a nice patio area that offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Be aware that on weekends it is normally required to have a reservation because it is busy. One can tell the dishes are prepared fresh by the flavors and one should not come to Arabesque in a rush. The lunch menu offers a more limited menu that allows for a quick(er) meal.I would highly recommend Arabesque, and be sure to explore the cute neighborhood while you are there!

Nice location, next to the lake. When the weather good is, you can sit outside under the sky... the chef's creations are really delicious, the dishes well-balanced. Very good wine list, especially the "Vivlia Chora" white wine! The desserts are o.k., the prices fair

You would probably not expect to find a really good sushi place in Germany in general, and in the Ruhrgebiet in particular, but give Sushihaus a chance. This is not a place for a cheap meal, but I think the prices are fair considering the high quality of the food. Everything we tried was fresh and well made.

Between 25.2. - 4.3. we are on business holidays and are available for you again from March 5, 2019. Best regards Cowboystyle-Steakhouse.
This restaurant offers high class quality. While price are quite high, both meat quality and the cook's abilities are matching U.S. standards. And this is hard to find in Germany for reasons unkowm to me. If you want to have a good steak in the area, I recommend you go here. But looking at the prices, it is not an everyday location. Then again, quality does not come for free.
