Could not be more welcoming. The waiters cannot do enough for you. The food is extremely good value for money and is consistently good. I have had several meals there over several holidays and have enjoyed each one. Cannot be faulted. I must go place if you are in the area.

Our first port of call every June is L'eskaya! And yet again L'eskaya never lets us down. The new menu is excellent and food is consistently good. New tables, chairs and heaters when weather demands make it a better dining experience than ever. First class service as ever from the charming Laurence.

Just one of the dozen or so Oyster Shacks, just outside Port Leucate, all serving wonderfully fresh, daily harvested Oysters, Mussels, Whelks, Sea Urchins etc, along with imported Prawns & the delicious (relatively) local wine Picpoul de Pinet. Any one of the cabins are excellent value, clean & helpful - fill your boots !

A great find. Visited for lunch and dinner. Really nice relaxed setting to eat out or inside. Excellent food, very friendly staff and polite professional service. Menu choice to meet all tastes...though the fish is superb. Great value for money. Cant wait to be back there in April.

Mediterranean kitchen with fresh products
A great place at any time of the day for drinks, lunch, dinner or coffee. A wide selection of starters and mains, if you like mussels this is the place for you (I don't but each visit I always have something different to eat). The price is a aerate for France. During August there are several music groups, varying types of genres, if you are at the Maillol you will have premier seats! We visit Le Maillol on a frequent basis from our place at Saint Cyprien, it is located right in the beach, lovely staff, Nicholas and Elsa always have time for a quick chat. There are comfy seats and tables outside, a covered area for eating and places next to the bar on a terrace.

We selected this restaurant based on previous reviews. We were disappointed that the restaurant didn't live up to expectations. The good - the ambiance was fine, the waiters were friendly and helpful, and the service was in general good. The food was the let down - we chose to eat from one of the fixed menus. The carpaccio of salmon was more like smoked salmon, complete with black bits. The lamb cutlets were extremely fatty with little meat, and the fries with both our meals were very mediocre. The quality vs price was poor in our opinion. We feel like we fell for the tourist trap.

A gem of a find, definitely a place we will be coming back too. The food was fresh and delicious, simply prepared with fresh ingredients combined effectively to make mouthwatering dishes. The evening we went, the restaurant was full and the atmosphere amongst everyone was great. The staff are friendly and efficient, and you really are made to feel very welcome in a homely way.
