Setauket-East Setauket /səˈtɔːkɪt/, more commonly known as the Setaukets (or that region's core), is a census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, on the North Shore of Long Island. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP population was 15,477. The CDP encompasses the hamlets of Setauket (formerly West Setauket) and East Setauket. It was founded in 1655, the first settlement in what would become the Town of Brookhaven.

We try to get to the ferry early just so we can get one more seafood meal in before heading back home. The quality is reliable, and it is pretty darn good. I recommend it!

Have been coming here for years when visiting family in the area. Great reasonable lunches. Dinners also exceptional, always fresh fish, very well seasoned and large portions. Prices are restaurant prices but quality, preparation and portions well above restaurant standards. Doesn't look like a restaurant, you have to walk through fish display counter and kitchen view to get to dinning room but don't be discouraged. Don't expect fancy decor or atmosphere, just great food.

Setauket Seafood is a very good seafood market that serves only the freshest fish. The owner is happy to make suggestions and is always spot on. This is a convenient shop that is happy to take phone orders and prep and clean shrimp etc or prep fresh hot take out meals.

We had such a good meal last night at PJâs Lobster House.We enjoyed fresh great tasting oysters at $19.99 per dozen...great price! The lobster and swordfish dinners with two sides were terrific. I had swordfish scampi.....great. My husband enjoyed a two pound lobster....super. This is a wine and beer place with a large fish market attached. We will be back...

The setting is convenient from the Port Jeff ferry, and tables are set up nicely outside for 'seaside' dining. The views are a bit lacking, and the food was mediocre/forgettable. Service was also a little spastic - okay at times, severely lacking moments later. This was on a first visit to Port Jeff, and I would definitely try something else before coming back here.

This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining, not from the Port Jefferson ferry. We were outside on a sunny day for lunch, and it was beautiful. The restaurant can be easily missed since it is directly off a parking lot.We each had one appetizer and a salad. I had a crab cake which was outstanding! It was fresh, made on-site by the chef, not, pre-made. Unlike other crab cay I have had, it was not filled with bread crumbs. My husband had a shrimp cocktail, 3 jumbo shrimp. We both had salads, were excellent. We are glad that you and your husband enjoyed your crab cake, shrimp cocktail, and salads! We greatly appreciate the review and hope you dine with us again.
