We have very old friends who have a house in Premosello, near the Lago Maiore, and this restaurant is one of their favorites, and we do agree. Situated in the same valley, between the lake and the Swiss border, this hidden gem is mostly used by the locals (always a good sign!) It serves food 'Albergo style', but what they serve is more than excellent, at very reasonable prices. Be aware, the portions are huge, so if you take a starter, followed by a main course, followed by dessert, you will have eaten 4 times... Do as the locals do, and ask for half a portion, or a small portion, or share 1 portion. Our group numbered 10, so we sampled many different things, and it was, without exception, all excellent!

We were staying at B and B Le Camelie and the owners recommended this restaurant. We were the only tourists. The pasta was home made with fresh tomato sauce. The fish was fresh. The wine recommendations were well thought out. The chocolate souffle was to die for. The menu was in Italien but an English speaking person (either waitstaff or owner) came over and explained it as well as made recommendations. All told, we had fun. I would recommend it.

A nice place for trying Japanese food as many as possible. The lunch is 11.5 euro, dinner and Weekend menu is 18.5 euro. It provides sushi, onigiri (seaweed roll), fried rice, miso soup ( which I don't recommend) and so on. It is buffet which you can order all of the food on menu except dessert and beverage.

My wife and I hared two starters. A "brioche with capuccino" and tartare plus chopped rabbit (fantastic). We shared also a Bettelmat fondue very particular for expert in cheese degustation. They are still open until 14.45

Locale carino e accogliente.. servizio molto cortese. Consiglio questo ristorante.. ci tornerò sicuramente!!

Stopped here by chance on the way back to Milan. Now I try to stop there anytime I pass by. The food is authentic, the prices very reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly. No frills or gimmicks kinda place. I got Spinach Ravioli with Sage Butter, then Popoye Pizza with Spinach, Mozzarella and Bulls-Eye Egg. Everything tastes fresh and is packed full of flavor!

Based on my previous positive experience in July, I decided to come back while driving back home. This time, I ordered the crudo(raw fish platter) and was excellent & fresh. Pasta with lobster sauce as main was good also. Add the ultra friendly service( I am non Italian speaker), and you would understand why this restaurant located a bit remote is almost full during lunch time on a Thursday.. I will return.

We have been advised by local friends, and it was a very good choice. Fish food is what they have recommended for, and this restaurant was up to standard. Elegant, careful service, well attended also mid week. Price is adequate to the standard.

We went to this restaurant because the B&B owner where we stayed (Luce del Mattino, in Santa Maria Maggiore), recommended it. There was no menu, instead, the owner, who speaks several languages, told us what the choices were for that evening. We had fantastic pasta and great lamb chops, followed by some tasty desserts. For a wine, they asked us what we liked and then brought out a bottle of local red sparkling wine, which was also very good and went well with the food. Because we had 2 little ones with us, they made a pasta with tomato sauce for them - they loved, and we tried it and would have happily gobbled it up, too!
