Brixham's harbour-side restaurant offers Trinidadian Verna's native Caribbean cuisine alongside great local ribs & home-made steak burgers, local seafood and fun desserts. Carnival favourites Goat Curry, Saltfish & Ackee and Jerk Chicken take pride of pla
We had fish patties, ackee and saltfish samosas, jerk chicken and ackee and saltfish mains- all were brilliant. Generous portions and good value, especially compared to some of the other seafront restaurants in brixham. Excellent cocktail menu, and friendly service- one of our favourite restaurants in brixham. That's good to hear ... "Generous portions and good value".We were quite surprised to see someone saying recently that we we overpriced ... but I guess people have their own budget. We certainly don't feel like a rip-off, haha ... and the prices are all online. Thanks for supporting us.

Visited for breakfast whilst on holiday as it had been recommended to us. We both had eggs benedict, one with bacon and one with smoked salmon. Friendly service and tasty food. It is slightly pricey but for the quality of food, definitely worth it if you fancy treating yourself. Thank you for your great review. We are glad that you enjoyed your breakfast with ushere at Below Decks.

Chefs Heather, Andrew, Mike and all the Staff look forward to welcoming you to TJâs. TJâs boasts an outside terrace and dining room with probably one of the best views in The Bay. Customers/friends can sit outside and encompass the most wonderful views of
Visited here while staying in Paignton for a week. The name suggests a diner serving burgers but it is actually a lovely little upstairs restaurant majoring on fish, overlooking the sea. Because we were near the front of the restaurant (but not on the balcony bit, which might be a bit chilly later on) we could see Torquay across the water gradually lighting up, which was very pretty.I treated myself to scallops followed by the lobster. The 3 large scallops were very nice and cooked just right. The lobster felt a little small for the price (I appreciate it is a very expensive fish) but was nicely cooked and has been well prepared - no need for all of the âequipmentâ required to dismantle and eat a lobster that has only been cooked. My wife enjoyed her vegetarian starter and main. We did not have dessert. Our bottle of white wine could have done with being a bit colder. It was understandably busy, as it deserved to be. Friendly and efficient staff. Sensible prices given the premium location.Recommended.

The food here is lovely, had freshly cooked fish and chips for our family. They held a table for us and called us when we were ready which was very helpful ! The service was very slow though both in restaurant and in take away, we used both throughout the week. Would come again though.Delighted to hear you enjoyed your food so much, sorry for the slow service but as you could no doubtsee we are VERY busy this time of the year, I'm pleased to say! Best wishes to you and hope to see you again.Jon Walker

A small licensed riverside cafe. Offering good quality, local produce. Outstanding location with plenty to do for the entire family. See you soon!
Visited for lunch with my brother. Sat outside overlooking the estuary. As others have commented, the menu is different from standard fayre and really interesting. We both had mushroom, leek and local cheese pie which was beautifully presented and with crispy pastry crust. Young staff who were very professional and friendly. Dear Anne. Thank you so much for your concise and positive review. We are delighted to read it and so happy to hear that you appreciated both the menu and the staff in equal measure. We hope to see you down here again!

We booked a table to eat here to celebrate my birthday, there were six of us we were met with a welcomed glass of Prosecco each by Tommy and then shown to our table. We ordered our drinks, and placed our orders. It was very busy but the Service was excellent. Once our food arrived we were not disappointed three of us ordered the crab starter it was amazing, all our party enjoyed all the courses, this is the second time my husband and I have eaten here and once again we were not disappointed. I thoroughly recommend especially if itâs a special occasion. We look forward to returning again one day. Brilliantly run and all of the Chefâs did us proud especially Ben. We were on holiday in Dartmouth for my partners 30th birthday, we have a four month old son who we would be taking out with us to dinner along with my partners mum and brother. I emailed ahead to check there would be enough space for us to keep our son in his pram as heâs not big enough to go in a high chair. Sarah promptly messaged me back saying this would be fine. Once we arrived at the restaurant she informed us that she hadnât taken a reservation on the table of two next to ours to ensure we had enough space for our pram and even turned away walk inâs throughout the evening for this table. She really went above and beyond what we expected in regards to the service and making sure we had a comfortable experience. Needless to say the food and drink that followed was impressive, the duck main and chocolate fondant especially. I donât often leave reviews but feel compelled to as the level of service we received was exceptional.

Relaxed, quaility dining in Dartmouth's oldest established restaurant run hands on by the proprietors. Excellent river and harbour views with delicious dishes prepared by our classically trained Chef/ Proprietor. Professional service and style.
We have Visited Dartmouth regularly for quite a few years and always look forward to dining at Taylor's. Attentive staff, lovely atmosphere, very prompt service. All the dishes are cooked to perfection and the confit of duck is the best we have tasted. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated with a view of the river and Kingswear from the large bow window.A perfect place to dine. ..

My family treated me to a very special lunch at the Anchorstone. From arrival to departure, we were all thrilled with our visit. Wonderful food, really difficult to chose as so much choice. Staff so friendly and helpful, best venue we have been to for a while. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here for families or couples. They do get very busy in peak times, so best to book ahead. Enjoy
